Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been actively doing genealogy for 15 years. I like to do this as a hobby and my passion is finding Civil War Soldier's final burial places. I am a proud Daughter of Union Veterans of the Civil War and am proud two of my great grandfathers served in the Civil War.

The Underwood side of my family descends from William Underwood who came to the United States in 1640. His family was one of the first to colonize the Bay Area. He lived in the Chelmsford, Massachusetts area. Later generations in this direct line lived in New Hampshire, New York State, Wisconsin, and Iowa. Two generations were part of the Onieda Community, which eventually evolved into the Oneida Silverware Company, still in existence today.

Recently, several area cemeteries have been transferred to my management by a Fallen Graver. I am honored to update, research, edit and transfer these as needed.

I will kindly transfer any memorial who is not related to me.

Please do not copy my biographies word for word. Use them as a source for your own research.

This is just a hobby for me. I follow the rules and will treat you with respect. If you have a complaint or feel I made a mistake, please notify me and I will correct it. Anyone can miss an e-mail or have a rough day. Additionally, the one thing we have forgot as we plugged ourselves into technology, is that technology doesn't have a tone.

I love Find A Grave and have meet many great people on this site!

Please e-mail or message me with questions.

Happy Graving,

Kelly

RE: Nathaniel Medlock
WOW,....Kelly, thanks for the interest. I did look into him but found little information. The fifth child of David and Rachel Medlock, Nathaniel R. was born in 1836 in Abbeville, S.C. and died 15 September, 1863 in the Webster Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. At 27 years old, he was married with three children. I don't know his wife's name but his children were John, Martha and Cornelia Catherine. I'm not sure if he was Union or Confederate but he must have entered the army from Missouri as did his other brothers. Judging by his death date, he likely died due to injuries related to his wartime service. Webster Hospital may even have been a military hospital but I'm not sure. He could well have been buried in Tennessee but then, his home in Missouri is not that far away if his family wanted him buried close.

I'm not sure about the accuracy of any of the above information so if you should find differing data, it would be welcomed by me.

Thank you for your interest and your effort in this endeavor, I appreciate it.................Mike.
