Bill decending the steps, St francisville, LA. one of our Davidson-Irons-Garland grandmas has been in the old family stories as Cherokee, I have come to the conclusion that she was Melungeon. others doing research on her have come to this same conclusion independently of me. most Cherokee grandma stories in the Appalachian mountain states turn out to be Melungeon. I especialy want to thank Jan for sharing her mother's and gma's old family photos. I will gladly transfer your relatives to you, just leave a message telling how you are connected. Please follow findagrave guidelines. please do not copy and post my personal photographs of my family members to other websites without my permission. credit would be a good idea as they are my photos.|

Nancy, thank you so much for adding this memorial and for transferring to his family. Jim's sister Grace (my mom) is thrilled to have a place as near as her computer to visit him whenever she wants. Bless you and yours this Thanksgiving day. Mike

Thank you for your quick response and for any info that you are able to share.

Can you tell me the names of Jesse's 13 children? I think one of them may be Ira B Morgan, whom I believe to be the father of my gg grandmother Flora A Morgan Ingersoll. Is there a connection?

You're very welcome. Not related just live in the area. Every evening after work I'm running to some cemetery to take photos for people out of state. I love it! My sister helps me. I've been told by a professional genealogist that it's a waste of time but I disagree. I'm helping others and I feel if I can do that for someone else...it's worth it!

I placed a message in the Bio link regarding the missing grave marker
|Chris West||RE: Tenant|
I'd be pleased to add my photos to your ancestor's memorial and delete mine. OK by you?
|Chris West||RE: Tenant Spencer|
I have actually been in the cemetery, and the grave marker is really there. Although the cemetery generally is neglected, there are two areas that are not: Section 200 and the US Naval Asylum Plot. Not only are they not neglected, but the military markers in section 200 appear to have been cleaned and reset recently.

All that the person have been able to tell me is that his name is Donald Combs from Oakland County, MI the information came back with this Donald, I noticed his family was from Kentucky which is where is prospective daughter lives currently. I was wondering if you have any further information about Donald Combs? You may email at email@example.com
