Bernadette Loeffel - Atkins is a Civil War Enthusiast, author, editor and lecturer. Her main field of study is Victorian Mourning Rituals. She has authored a book entitled "Widow's Weeds & Weeping Veils: Mourning Rituals in 19th Century America" and "The Land Beyond the River: Children and Mourning in 19th Century America." Ms. Loeffel-Atkins has also toured London's Victoria & Albert Museum and Highgate Cemetery studying their Victorian Mourning rituals. While in Austria she toured a number of cemeteries, crypts and cathedrals. Her hobbies include touring and photographing old, historic cemeteries and collecting mourning artifacts.She enjoys listening to music of the 1930's ,40s and 50s, as well as classical. She is currently working on research of the Class of 1861 at West Point as well as a Civil War Notables gravesite tour book. Her current release, Gettysburg's Haunted Address: Spirits of the Farnsworth House Inn has just been published.

I wanted to show you how the ranges are.. also I saw your photo.. you posted it 2006.. looks like it was taken from a book.. again .. sect 1. to sect 17 is old st raymond.. ranges have over 100 headstones per range and go from range 1 to 125 some of them. mystery to me..call the office | | | Floral Designer

I know the old like the palm of my hand. for over 25 years. never saw that photo at st raymonds. people accidentally post other photo's on a memorial. unless it came from some other source. The office might have to call you back. due to old red books have to be pulled. just then them GRANDFATHER . they know genealogy and want to charge. we ask for locations we have the maps. it's a totally mystery to me.Good Luck. | | | | [View all messages...] |
