I caught the genealogy bug in the 1980s and it has proven to be incurable! I published my mother's family tree in 1983 and have spent the last 15 years gathering information on my father's side in hopes of someday publishing that side of my family history.

I love walking through cemeteries and reading the tombstones.

I don't know exactly how I found Find-A-Grave but I am hooked on it, too. I pray that I will present a memorial that will help families and friends have a place to go to celebrate the life that was taken away, always too soon.

Velma I. Williams # 23935631
Hi, Quite by accident I created a duplicate memorial about Velma Irene Williams (# 118366133). My memorial is with many family links. Between us we need to agree which memorial to delete, yours or mine.

If you want to copy/paste my text into your memorial, and add the links for the family members, then I could delete my memorial.

OR.... if you want to transfer your memorial to me, #47862230, I'll do same, then transfer back to you, and delete my memorial which would remove the duplication.

Do let me know which way you'd like to resolve the matter, OK?

Thank you so much,
Nancy Mess #47862230

Edits for Find A Grave
Please contact me if you are still active on Find A Grave as I need you to transfer Wm. Currington # 28157145 and his wife, Rhoda Jane Currington # 28157146 to me. They were my great-grandparents. A previous message seems to indicate that persons are unable to reach you. Thanks, Jim Hastings jdh61851@aol.com

Still active at Find a Grave?
To cemeterywalker,

I'm posting this public message to see if you're still active on this web site. I have sent several requests to edit memorial pages dating back months to add family links for several family members but nothing was ever edited after several attempts. It also doesn't appear you're responding to any messages posted here either. If you're still around would you please contact me. Thanks!

I think you might be mistaken on the cemetery. His Obit says he was laid to rest at MT Pisgah cemetery.
The Funeral was preached at Mount Pisgah Church by Elder J.J. White. The sermon was preached from Hebrews 9:27. It being bad weather the large congregation that filled the house was evidence of how he was esteemed as a good neighbor and friend. Just at the dark shades of night,( **he was laid to rest in the Mt. Pisgah Cemetery to await the resurrection morn.**) Weep not as those that have no hope, for blessed are those that die in the Lord. Precious in His sight are the dead of his saints, with this scripture I will say, be thou faithful unto death and I will give thee a crown of life
