|I was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. I have been working on our family tree and history for a couple of years and have found some very interesting facts. I've also gotten into finding family headstones and cemeteries. Unfortunately most are out of state.|

Thank you, Clare,, for the photos of Sarah and Lee Carr and their son Guy. I was tickled to discover their whereabouts at all. So hard to keep track of daughters! I meant to say wait for good weather but that's a northeasterner talking. Hope you had good weather for taking photos! Sandi

Thanks for taking and posting the photo. He was my grandfather's brother.
Clare, I just noticed the problem w/a very old gravemarker. I DO have a question. If you go out there again, can you snap even if it's broken? I won't post on Find A Grave. just interested in seeing it. Unless it's in a million pieces. I have a older Cousin that gave me the info on where he is buried, but now wonder if it's right. She was just out there not two long ago, but didn't mention talking photos...she is a senior citizen...probably around 70s.
This was part of the info William born 1858 in TN., died in 1913, Tarrant Co., TX Mount Olivet Cemetery.,in Ft.Worth, TX
Carrie was born in 1863 in TX, and died in Dallas Co., TX in 1932.
She is buried in Rawlins Cemetery in Dallas Co., TX
he also lived with Newton Addison Carroll, actually, when he "stowed" away on the Wagon train to TX that's whose Wagon he was found in.
I don't know who this Capt, Carroll is, but she did give me the Cemetery info, she also typed this:
Mount Olivet Cemetery & Garden of Memories Memorial Park - Established 1907
2301 N. Sylvania Ave., Fort Worth TX
817-831-0511 - If no answer call Greenwood Memorial Park
Greenwood Memorial Park - Established 1909
3100 White Settlement Road, Fort Worth TX
Tombstone at Mount Olivet Cemetery at Ft. Worth, Texas
W. A. Allen born in Faith,Co,Tenn
Mar. 1, 1858, came to Tex 1871.Died May 9, 1913
He was converted and joined the M.E. Church 1894 and lived a very consistent life until death.
There is a second tombstone for him in same cemetery. I went to the cemetery myself, and saw the second one. It is black, and about 3 ft. tall. On this one it says he is from Love Co., TN..It tells of him stowing away at age 10,with /Capt. Carrell, and coming to TX
2 Headstones?? Think I will call those Cemeteries and get facts on the two tombstones.
I really appreciate the effort, not removing the request....and see if I can ask the Cemetery the EXACT PLACE.
