My sister and I when out today and check for this one. I go out about every other weekend and look. They list him in Section 9 plot 9 space 14 well we walk the area and found the plot mark number 9 and checked all the stone around there and could not find a stone with that name. I took a picture of the area for you the number nine stone for the plot is right under the tree sorry I could help more than that unless you can get me any more information to help.

Janet, you mentioned you wanted the Mitchell's cemetery to be GPS and recheck. Tell Nolan what you want. He is my husband and is the driving force behind me going to cemeteries.

Thank you so much for posting Joshua's pictures of the cemetery in Preston, MO. William Henry Gregory was my 3rd great grandfather.

I had always hoped to one day go to the cemetery. It is just so sad that it is nearly gone. I guess most the family that took care of the cemetery must have died off or moved away. I know his son, my 2nd great grandfather, James Marion Gregory is buried in Osceola, MO. I have been there on 2 occasions, but the cemetery is well kept and has many graves. My great grandparents William Henry Gregory and his wife Anna Bell Speaker are buried in Otterville, MO much closer to where I live.

You can trace my family through find a grave.

RE: James and Ficht family photos
Great! I always think it is best when the memorials are in the hands of family or close friends. The transfer has been made.

Hi there. I am descended from that line. Let me check my records and I'll get back to you. I've been knee deep in another line for some time now. :)

There really isn't any one section that was used during any designated year. There are over 15,500 graves spread out all over. I don't know if you've ever been to the cemetery before, but it is HUGE...and is over 200 years old. I have done very little actual walking thru it yet, but have spent many hours over the past week going over records and platting out a "mini-map" in preparation of finding as many of the photo requests as I can. There's absolutely no way to find anything in that cemetery without some type of map...and I think I now have a pretty good one drawn out...thanks to the cemetery's general mgr. I plan on beginning my actual legwork soon. Is there else you'd like for me to look for?
