Findlay Stone Photo
GAR -- Sorry about the photo but I can't figure why it is sideways, the photo itself is not. This has not happened to my pix before. I will try to fix. Actually I did not realize that anyone wanted this picture. I took it two years ago while in Philly taking other cemetery pix. I am interested in the golf aspect and took advantage of knowing where Alex was buried and being nearby. It was by accident I fulfilled your request. I am just irked by being there at the worst part of that day for good sunlight on the names. Bad timing.

DEERING corrections
Thank you for contacting me regarding corrections for DEERING at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland ME. I believe I will delete my memorial and defer to the duplicate which already exists for what would appear to be the same individual. I appreciate your help; Scott

Hugh Kirkaldy
Dear Sirs

I am a private individual who has written a manuscript about golfer Harry Vardon. Part of the book features those that played against Vardon during his career. I would very much like to use the photograph of Hugh Kirkaldy but require your permission to do so. My request is for that permission or your confirmation that the photograph is in the public domain.

Your earliest response would be much appreciated.

Best Regards

It would be great if you would transfer the memorial. He is family.

RE: Franklin Graham - USS Kearsarge
You're welcome! We don't walk every single row, but when we're in an area and spot a veteran's headstone - especially those from the older wars - we try to stop and get photographs. I've uploaded several more Union veterans from Fernwood over the last couple of days.
