Pattie,
I went back and looked at other's on this cemetery and the stone I saw was part of the Cemetery Sign. Thanks for catching that. Sorry for the confusion

ID Military in Westlawn-Hillcrest
We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.

If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.

Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.

Thank you for the Ross edits. Are you related or would you like these transferred?

RE: In the spirit of goodwill

Hello Pattie,

Thanks for your very nice and supportive message. Most people on 'Find A Grave' that I have dealt with have been must congenial about transferring to my care memorials of my family that are not related to themselves. But there are some of those PTSD members that have laid out a whole angry harangue about only doing transfers based on 'Find A Grave' transfer guidelines...confusing the word 'guideline' with an absolute "rule and law." That's when I do a major eye roll and bite my tongue until it bleeds.

Regards,

Mike

P.S. You are most welcome regarding the Boyle family updates. Glad to oblige. And, I would be honored to be your 'Find A Grave' friend.

Patti,

You mentioned you could use some help finding you ggg grandfather. It might help if I had his name.

Hopefully,

First thank you for your contributions and efforts.

The cemetery stone on this memorial is for "Bessie May" daughter of A.N. * A Wilson.
Was this posted in error.

Again thank you for your postings

RE: Katherine Gibson
I was trying to find the burial of Katherine's sister, Sarah aka Almira Seeley Markillie and I got carried away as usual with other members and found that error. Sarah was married to a Markillie as a first wife and I think died in childbirth. The Markillie's 3rd wife was my 1st cousin twice removed - so rather distant! I can't find Sarah's burial but I have all the Markillie's and Seeley's documented now!!!

RE: Harriet Stansbury Lyon
Hi Patty,

A while back, Find a Grave was purchased by, I think, Ancestry.com. They made some changes to the EDIT section that proved very useful. However, The CODE I gave you is still useful to insert others' links into the Bio. Since the changeover, the siblings are automatically list for anyone with the same parents. You can suggest who the parents are without asking/pleading for the memorial manager to do it. Harriet was married twice. By her first husband she had 3 daughters. By her 2nd husband she had 2 sons and 2 daughters. Her second husband was widowed and had 10 kids by his first wife. I don't think you could get Find a Grave to include links to all 17 children in one memorial. If you know their memorial numbers, it would be possible to add all these names to Harriet's Bio, if you wanted to. If you want the complete list of the Stansbury, Hutchinson, Lyon, Brittain marriages and the 17 children involved, return this message to me, qashqai, and I'll Email it to you Sweetpea. If anyone out there reading this needs this information, I want to share it. Give me your Email Address and I'll send it.
