|I'm new to the genealogy world, but am finding it fascinating! I'm thankful to those who have sent me information or taken photos, and happy to return the favor by taking photos of headstones in the Saratoga Springs, NY area. I do travel a lot and may also be able to hit up random cemeteries too across NY and New England. This is a great community and look forward to helping it grow.|

Do you know anything about John J Yattaw's wife, Ellen C. Jones. Specifically, who her parents are, and where in Ireland they lived? Ellen had a sister, Catherine Jones, and she married Hiram Yattaw. My husband and I are trying to identify Catherine and Ellen's parents. I obtained a death certificate for Catherine, it lists her parents as Miles Jones and a Mary A. Jones (maiden name not given). Census records say Ellen came to America in 1857.
Any help you could provide, or forward my query to someone who might know would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you very much for your kindness and time.
Thank you so much for taking the time to locate and photograph the memorials for me it is greatly appreciated! I hope you do not mind if I use the photos you took in my family tree, I thank you again for all your time and efforts! Cheers!

You are very welcome! I'm glad you liked them. I don't mind if you use them on your Ancestry.com "tree", however, some photo volunteers do have a problem with it, as can be seen on the request page for Morningside Cemetery. I don't believe that is the true spirit of Find A Grave, especially as a volunteer...I volunteered to take them for you, not for myself, so you should be able to do whatever with them! On another note...there are several people buried in this Lewis plot and I've added some of them to Morningside on Find A Grave. However, an "Uncle John" has me perplexed! There is also an Alton Lewis, a Nancy, wife of John Lewis (I'm not sure if that is "uncle john"!). There is a Daniel J. Connor and May Connor, I assume are married. And, a much newer stone for a Barbara Lewis and her husband Charles H. Bassett. Do you have any info on the Alton Lewis, Uncle John and Nancy? If not, I'll add them with the information I could get off the stone, tho' some was almost impossible to read. Take care, let me know if there are others in the Malone area you'd like photos for...I check the Find A Grave listings pretty regularly. Laurie

Thank you so for trying to find her gravestone. You're right...it is probably one of the illegible ones. Thanks for taking a photo of the area.
Thanks so much,

I wanted to say thank you, for doing this for me. I will probably never get to the East coast. And without your effort I would just never see these headstones. It's a great thing, to have photo's of our whole family and knowledge of where they are, so our children will know. Thank you again for this. It means a lot to our whole family.
