I live in Winneshiek County, Iowa. If you are seeking information from this area I might be able to help you. |
I believe every stone has a story to tell! And that even the small pieces of information can help a lot. I do my best to help others because many people have helped me.
I own a gravestone cleaning business in Northeast Iowa. If you need help with a relatives stone - please contact me. All work done by hand and no harsh chemicals or pressure washers are used. Do it right or don't do it at all.

|Jerry L. Lippincott||RE: Lippincott|
Dear fellow Find A Grave user - As you notice, yes, my name is Lippincott, but our branch is sort of a dead limb out on the perferifry (how do you spell that word?) (representing about 300+ other descendents) I can trace back to a John F Lippincott birth place uncertain and CAN NOT find his parents. He rests near Minerva/Hanover/East Rochester, Ohio. Danged if I can find his connection to the greater bulk of Lippincotts ! I have made pretty good connections upwards otherwise. (My dad is Harvey R Lippincott, Jr. resting at Central City, NE if you want to trace me backwards) One of my interests is just going through Lippincott burials nationwide and looking them up in some of the Census records and trying to make connections that might not be currently indicated.
If I have overstepped my bounds, I apologize. If there is anything I can help you on (Lippincott information wise), my # is (954) 830-5055
Best regards - Jerry (#47275474)

Thank you for the heads up on the marriage date of the McClaskeys; however, I only provided the bio and am not the Contributor responsible for editing the page. I wish I could help but you will need to contact the Memorial Page Contributor regarding the date correction. Thanks and I hope you had a great Memorial Day!
|BAF||George Q Gardner|
We noticed the partial obituary on George Q. Gardnerís memorial in Phelps Cemetery, Decorah, IA and your thoughtful note to provide a complete copy. Also, do you know what would be the easiest way for us to obtain the marriage dates of the Gardner family: George Gardner and Caroline Humes, Walter S. Gardner and Alice Griffin (Abt. 1871), Martha J. Gardner and William Relf (followed perhaps by a divorce) in Winneshiek County. Does the courthouse, public library or a genealogy society keep such records? We are not interested in securing certified copies. Thanks for any assistance you can offer. We always deeply appreciate when obituaries are attached to memorials yet personally speaking that is not often possible. Have a wonderful day! Looking forward to hearing from you, email@example.com

|Jerry L. Lippincott||RE: Lippincott|
We are probably about 10th cousins - in other words, not close enough for me to borrow money from you !
1) we can communicate more easily at Lippincott@gmail.com, if you wish ?
2) my lineage is pretty well covered if you look for dad at H R Lippincott, Jr 1922-2009 Merrick Co., Nebraska
My people came to Nebraska after the Civil War - he was from Adams Co, PA but I can not find his grandfather's identity yet!
Ain't Find A Grave a hoot, though? Best regards and thanks for your note!

Not a problem at all! I went to the war cemetery last summer with a list of a few that were requested. I do not think Gosling was on my list...but, luckily I snapped a picture! Glad I could be of help.

|God Made Us Family Now & Always||RE: Runyon family|
Both of my maternal grandparents lead into Runyon.
Would you email me at home ? Would love to share with you .
Would you like an invitation to my tree on Ancestry ?

Hello, I am a double Runyon . I would like to thank you for the memorials you have created for my family members.
As someone who grew up an orphan it is what got me started on this quest 44 years ago .
And the joy of seeing pictures of them is wonderful.
Your a blessed and kind person to have and then be willing to share such richness with those who never had

Stacy, Thank you for all you do for Find A Grave. I recently started volunteering for Find A Grave here in San Mateo County. California.
My great-grandparents on my mom's side George Landmeyer 1847-1924/ Elizabeth Landmeyer 1850-1913 are headstones you added to Find A Grave...thank you.
My other great-grandparents on my mom's dad's side "Leseth" lived in Winneshiek as far back as the early 1800's...do you know if there are any in the Canoe German Methodist Cemetery? They were Norwegian and may be at another cemetery in the area. Any ideas which?
Again, thank you for taking the time and putting in the hard work!

I have submitted an edit for her parents and husband through the memorial. I have the headstone and appreciate your offer :)
I'd be happy to maintain this memorial with your approval.
