Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am an amateur genealogist, rockhound, Civil War buff, Army Nurse Corps Veteran and student of history and human behavior.

When I have the honor of managing a memorial, I work to build a bio so that when someone reads it, s/he comes away with an idea of what that person's life was like. Each of us is so much more than birth and death dates. I'm grateful for the the photographers who do the hard work, getting out into the cemeteries, recording the names & dates & snapping gravestone photos of people they don't even know, and who may otherwise remain unrecorded, and forgotten. That's not right, even if you ARE dead.

Thanx to those of you who leave flowers for my Mom, Marilyn Wright Mader, Dad, LTC. Gene W. Mader, my wacky baby sister, Lisa Ann Mader Putnam, Ronald Richard Kropczynski, and Woman's Best Friend, Miss Sheba.

As a Veteran and daughter of one, I believe that we should honor our Veterans~~the women and men who have fought and sacrificed for this great Republic by noting their service in their memorial. The courageous dead deserve to be honored and remembered.

****I want the info on my memorials to be as accurate as possible, so I welcome edits. However, if your info conflicts with mine, please state your source. I don't post data without having a reliable source, and have the same standards for edits. Thank you for caring enough to take the time to send an edit!*****

***In most cases I am willing to transfer memorials of people who are not family to me. Please tell me how you are related to that person and make your request through the edit tab on the memorial. Thank you.***

One more thing.....
I also meant to thank you for serving as a nurse in the Armed Forces. I know if the men and women you cared for, whether they recovered or passed away, remembered you with gratitude for your kind compassionate care to them. I was in a car acc'd. in mid Feb., am still wearing a support boot on my right leg from 3 broken bones; I will be setting alarms off at airports for the rest of my life. I had to stay at a care facility both before and after surgery for @5 wks., although it seemed like forever, and the nurses and cna's were such a God Send, helping me with the most basic of needs while lying in a hospital bed, only able to feed myself, talk on a phone, watch TV, and just hurt, waiting for healing to take place. It was painful in so many ways and made me so grateful to come home again just a few months ago where I continue to recover. Just to let you know that I'm sure you've been in many persons' prayers of gratitude many a night and, on behalf of my father, who was shot down in the South Pacific during WWII and was only one of two crew members to survive, Thank You for your care and compassion. It takes a certain special type of person to care for those unable to do anything for themselves, trying to comfort them and ease their pain under far from the best of circumstances, and I would guess there will be some of those people waiting to greet and thank you when your time comes to pass from this life. God Bless you and yours. From my heart, With All Sincerity, Kathie L. Webb Blair, Portland, OR

RE: Freda Clark Mader
Hi,
I'm glad if my words helped as I've also lost my grandparents and mother, miss them all. This site is special to me as we can console each other and also leave words for our family members who are no longer with us, words we wish we could say to them if only they were here, for even just a moment more.... and, in a way, I think they know how we feel and what we write. It comforts me to think that way, at any rate. Take care and may God Comfort you and all of us who honor our Loved Ones, Veterans, those lost in the wars, little children and others on this special site.

RE: M. Drury
Hi!

Thank you so much for transferring Michael J Drury to me! I have already added his parents and his only sister is tied in as well. I am searching to see if his wife has a page set up already and if so will add her or set up her memorial page. By chance do you know if he has a headstone? Thanks again!

Thank you!
I just wanted to thank you for your incredible work! I've been doing genealogy for my family and stumbled across your background information about my ancestor, Corporal Anton Schulte-- I had almost no information about him before finding his grave page, and now I know so much! It was such a pleasant surprise to find it all there in one place.

Thanks again!

Amanda

RE: Dr. Roger Toothaker
I have not found where he is buried yet but looking. If I ever find it , I will post it on his memorial . Sometimes they would not disclose the burial place for fear of desecration.

RE: Ray Wright
This was in the Tuscarawas County Genealogical Society Obituary Book pg 74 of the 1968-1970 book which came from clippings originally from the Times-Reporter.
