Genealogy is a passion of mine from when I was very young. My grandmother told me wonderful stories about our families and I have been doing family history for over 30 years. I have traveled all over the world photographing family graves and writing books on my different families. I need another 25 years to finish everything I have started!|
PLEASE do not add birth or death certificates to my memorials!

Thank you for your kind note. I do have a beautiful wife, Annie Lee Sledge, and she has put up with me for 63 years on Dec 19th
The Gay family attended Holly Grove Baptist Church where my wife was a member until we married. We now live in Smithfield, NC

You are quite welcome! CHEERS!
she was moved on 3/23/1917.
Hey Karen, I removed the picture. I called Holy Cross this morning and found out what happened Elizabeth was originally buried in St. George, Range 8, Grave 113 and they didn't tell me at that time she was removed. She is now in Section St. Joseph, Range 17, Grave 61&62 with her husband ( I made a memorial for him) and 2 others an Owen and Emma McDermmot. I am hoping this weekend to visit HC and will retake a photo of the new grave.

My pleasure!! When looking for my own ancestry and I happen to run across viable info for someone else, I try to share it whenever I can. Blessings, Sandi :-)

Thank you for posting William Brown (my Great-great grandfather). I was so excited to have found him on findagrave. I called the cemetery and found out his wife and son are buried there too, but not in the same area. I enjoyed your bio, I also have a passion for geneology.

You're welcome, Karen. Her date of death didn't dawn on me until I read your bio of her. What a terrible tragedy. There are several others buried at Forest Home that died in the same disaster. Thanks for doing the research.

You are certainly welcome. Glad that you find it helpful.
In 2012, we took readings for each of the headstones in this cemetery (and took pictures of the headstones), and over the past six months or so, I have been entering the information into Find A Grave. So it makes me happy to hear that it is helpful.
Have a great day!
