We are ALL part of this magnificant GIANT historical jigsaw puzzle!
I always have and still do love puzzles. And I have been bitten by the genealogy research bug for years!
Better than fiction!
I am NOT involved with findagrave for the numbers. I research every person for whom I create a memorial for accuracy and in an attempt to include as much information as possible.
Whenever possible, I also try to link family members. I feel that is most important and a way to have them all 'reunited.'
About death certificates - I ask politely that you please don't post any to my memorials. I like to honor their life and history. My humble opinion is that their death is a personal/private matter for not only the deceased but also the family/descendants. I do welcome any photos of the individual so we can see them when alive.
This is a marvelous venue to not only recognize, remember and HONOR those who have passed before us, but also to assist families in the future in finding their ancestors and hopefully even seeing a photo of their headstone.
My sincere thanks to all findagrave contributors and photographers for all you have done for me and the entire findagrave community! It takes a village!
Post Script: I am disappointed that 'some' contributors do not fill edit message requests -- don't include additional info provided or link to other family members requested. I realize we are ALL volunteers here and everyone's lives are busy. However for those who simply ignore SAC's, I think that is very unkind. At least the courtesy of a message back to me or a transfer if you don't care to make edits, please? I'd be happy to make them.
For the MOST part, the cooperation and sharing on this site are tremendous and heart-warming.
A special thanks to contributor peace4me- she is a prolific and wonderful photo contributor and a super nice person to work with! She is incredible with photos in Wheeling West Virginia and beyond!
Also much thanks to Larry Ault and his incredible knowledge of Ohio families and sharing of info and photos!
Remember: be kind to one another!

I connected Mary Ellen to her parents' and spouse's memorials. I also put in her birth year. I had not done this before because with her death occurring three weeks into a new year, and she was already 68, she might have been born in 1829.
Thank you for your work on findagrave. My main interest has become linking families together so researchers can find other relatives at a glance. Thank you for allowing me to do this for Mary Ellen and her family.

Thanks for your emails and information. You've been very patient with me and I appreciate it. I have been busy but intend to update my memorials very soon. Will get back to you with questions I may have about the information you sent.

Hi! Yes, I live very close to Buckingham burying ground. I have been there once and I intend to do more. I think I have not quite finished posting the photos I took before. Weather is awful now so it may be awhile before I go back. I have contacted the caretaker and he is willing to help me. I am fairly sure he has good records.
