Bio and Links
Bio Photo About death certificates and other documents - I ask politely that you PLEASE don't post any DC's or other documents to my memorials. I like to honor their life and history. My humble opinion is that their death is a personal/private matter for not only the deceased but also the family/descendents. I do welcome any photos of the individual so we can see them when alive. I appreciate your honoring my preference.

About photos, if another contributor has posted gravestone photos to one of my memorials, please do not post any duplicates. thank you for that!

The Golden Rule: "Do unto others as you'd have them do unto you"
Please don't create duplicates when you know another memorial was created first. If there is an error in cemetery or info, be courteous and contact the original contributor. You'd want that gesture offered to you too.

We are ALL part of this magnificant GIANT historical jigsaw puzzle!

I always have and still do love puzzles. And I have been bitten by the genealogy research bug for years! Better than fiction!

I am NOT involved with findagrave for the numbers. I research every person for whom I create a memorial for accuracy and in an attempt to include as much information as possible.

Whenever possible, I also try to link family members. I feel that is most important and a way to have them all 'reunited.'

This is a marvelous venue to not only recognize, remember and HONOR those who have passed before us, but also to assist families in the future in finding their ancestors and hopefully even seeing a photo of their headstone.

My sincere thanks to all findagrave contributors and photographers for all you have done for me and the entire findagrave community! It takes a village!

For the MOST part, the cooperation and sharing on this site are tremendous and heart-warming.

A special thanks to contributor peace4me- she is a prolific and wonderful photo contributor and a super nice person to work with! She is incredible with photos in Wheeling West Virginia and beyond!

Remember: be kind to one another!

RE: Sells info
I have tried to find his wives as well. I really wish I could have got this information from his granddaughter my great Aunt Rhea (Maria Sells) when she was still alive in 1990 but I didn't really dive into family tree information at that time. My father told me that most of them are buried where Alonzo is. The next time I am in Ohio I will drive over to the cemetery in Wheeling and see if I can find them. I have a feeling they may be in Linwood Cemetery in Blaine, Ohio as they were in Bridgeport, Ohio but it could be in McConnelsville, Morgan, Ohio as they were there for the 1870 Census. I will keep digging!

Good news the down the hill in the woods Turner cemetery has no matches to the GUM-GREENHILL merged list; so the problem is limited to two cemeteries are really one.

Writing up report and see what FG will do about it.

FG could have a possible duplicate alert function on entry of a new grave, but they do not.

RE: Wright's photo
Wright Robinson was my dad. And, yes, I'd like to link Penny, my sister, and Pearl, my mother, to the site. Another "visitor" had asked me to add something other than the photo of his bronze bust that is in the Seaford Museum.

RE: Floto
Hi genie - thank you for the Minnie Floto info. I listed "Christian" as her husband on her memorial. (His memorial has been posted by another member.)

RE: ebbert
Thanks for the advice on Imogene Ebbert! My records had her as Paul Sr's wife but they were unofficial records. I made your suggested corrections. :) Bugs me like crazy that their gravestones were almost completely covered over.

RE: Orphea
Thanks for all the info. I will check out the cemetery book in Wheeling when I get there from Morgantown where I live. I think the age 0r 70 is right for Orphea since I read the original record on line and it checks with the birth year of 1790.

RE: Carpenter
Thank you! My profile pic was taken at a cemetery in Juneau, Alaska when I went (home) for a visit in 2013.

Jacob Miller
I have also been unable to find a birth record for Jacob Miller. (Although I haven't gone in person to attempt to find it.) The death certificate for Jacob Miller was filled out by Jacob's daughter (misspelled on the form as Stella Brooks it is Ella Brooks aka Nancy Ellen Miller Brooks). She indicates she does not know Jacob's parents. I think he never talked about his family and I have found no one in my family who knows of him having siblings. It almost made me think he was an only child, but he may just never have talked about them. His family has always been a mystery. I have also been unable to find him on an 1880 census. So much confusion, but the hunting for that scrap of info that will prove something continues...I'm going to try to hunt down his obituary, but I'm not hopeful it well tell me about his parents. Do you think I should link your Nicklaus to my Jacob and see if anyone disputes it or adds any info?

Jacob's wife Minerva Jane Cummins is also a bit of a mystery. Her mother was Nancy Preston Cummins who was married to John William Black, but not until Minerva is about 8 years old. Minerva's father ultimately unknown at this point. I've seen her list last name mainly as Cummins but also occasionally Black.
