 | RE: Esther Hi there,
Esther is also named Esther Monaco in her Grandmother, Ann's, obit. Did she marry the one that you mentioned, and then Monaco, and then West? | | | Chad Eugene Schneider
 | RE: Yes Hi again,
I wonder why Rose Pearl? I've only known it to be Pearl Maude and the ones that could verify the truth are long gone, lol. I had heard that when the Trine's came west from Ohio and Nebraska, they adopted Pearl on the way. Not sure if it was a formal adoption or just that maybe she was orphaned and they took care of her. I had also heard that she was a native child....but not sure if that's true. | | | Chad Eugene Schneider
 | RE: P.S. Hi,
Sure thing.....I will leave the C.W. info on his memorial....
I actually have his whole military file. | | | Chad Eugene Schneider
 | RE: Hello Chad Hi there,
Ok, thank you for the information about Stella and Mrs. W.O. Trine. W.O.'s first wife, May Pettis, is buried next to him at Laurel Grove. And I have information that there's a Stella Trine buried in a Kincaid plot.....??? Where is the Eugene Pioneer Cemetery in relation to Laurel Grove.
And I was wondering....how is the issue that you had been having with folks coming in and dumping their garbage there? I just think that that's shameful!! | | | Chad Eugene Schneider
 | RE: Good Morning Good morning morning ! Thank you so much for checking into this. I need to make another trip down there. I also think that w.o.'s 2nd wife , stella , is there with you in the kincaid plot. I wonder what her connection is to them run between the drops , lol | | | Chad Eugene Schneider
 | RE: P.S. Hi Alice,
Can you try to find out if Merritt and Pearl's daughters are buried at Laurel Grove as well? Myrtle J. Morton (and her husband, Morris) and Esther Ann West (and her husband, Roy). Also, did either girl have children. AND....did Merritt and his 2nd wife (Flora) have children? | | | Chad Eugene Schneider
 | RE: Hello Chad Oh Alice....
Heavens no, you didn't offend me. I DO remember you and you were oh so very very helpful. I just have this really bad habit of starting 100 projects at once and then getting side tracked on completely different projects and then dropping everything. And then the adoption of our 2nd boy was just about coming to an end and we couldn't afford internet for awhile and now we've just been placed with our third boy. GEESH, lol.
I made a trip to Laurel Grove back in 2008 or 2009 and photographed some of my Trine family there. I was sad to find that you can see where markers used to be for my family on that cement slab that juts our from W.O. Trine's large upright....but there's no markers left. I then came home and found some photos that a family member took of that same spot back maybe in the 1980s when there WERE markers and it looks like they were of some sort of plastic or acyrilic material. That's how I knew where so and so was buried. I had even contacted the office about getting new markers placed but I can't afford anything.
As far as Clara goes....the person that knew the answer about Mr. Wright has passed away :( . i remember her telling me that Clara was married first at the age of 13 to a Mr. John Craig (but that name wasn't on her marker) and then to Christian Elley, and then to a Mr. Wright.....and her last name on the marker was WRIGHT. She is buried there in that slab with her parents, Hannah Jane Wright-Trine and John Thaddeus Constantine Trine.
I appreciate all the help I can get. | | | | [View all messages...] |
