PHOTOS: Any photo I have posted on Find-a-Grave is intended to be used...please consider this your permission to copy and/or post any of my photos.

DUPLICATES: I try my best to do a thorough check before entering any memorials. I will never intentionally create a duplicate, although sometimes it just happens with the delay in the Find-a-Grave system at times. Even if my memorial was entered first, I will usually delete IF the other memorial is complete. My interest is not in numbers but in the precious souls who walked among us on this earth and their descendants who may search for them in the future.

CORRECTIONS: I'll be happy to make corrections on any of my entries if needed, or I will gladly transfer memorials to family members (at my discretion when it involves my kinfolks). I would appreciate your using the "Edit" function to request corrections.

ABOUT ME: I have lived in Sweetwater, Texas all but four years of my life. I love to help people find their family information through this volunteer work.

FIND-A-GRAVE: I am the Find-A-Grave coordinator for the Nolan County Cemeteries. The Sweetwater Cemetery is my favorite (my daughter, father & grandparents are buried there).

MY FAMILIES: (just to name a few)

HEALER
Cardwell * Hammond * Turner * Elam * Fry * Douglass

COOK

Always interested in hearing from anyone with any connections to my families.

* Sweetwater (Nolan County, TX)
* Old Bethel (Anderson County, TX)
* Frankston City (Anderson County, TX)
* Roby (Fisher County, TX)
* Rose Hill (Taylor County, TX)

THE RECORDING OF A CEMETERY
By Thelma Greene Reagan

Today we walked where others walked
On a lonely, windswept hill;
Today we talked where other cried
For Loved Ones whose lives are stilled.

Today our hearts were touched
By graves of tiny babies;
Snatched from the arms of loving kin,
In the heartbreak of the ages.

Today we saw where the grandparents lay
In the last sleep of their time;
Lying under the trees and clouds -
Their beds kissed by the sun and wind.

Today we wondered about an unmarked spot;
Who lies beneath this hollowed ground?
Was it a babe, child, young or old?
No indication could be found.

Today we saw where Mom and Dad lay.
We had been here once before
On a day we'd all like to forget,
But will remember forever more.

Today we recorded for kith and kin
The graves of ancestors past;
To be preserved for generations hence,
A record we hope will last.

Cherish it, my friend; preserve it, my friend,
For stones sometimes crumble to dust
And generations of folks yet to come
Will be grateful for your trust.

This is my wife's Aunt on her mothers side of the family. Was wondering if you would consider transferring her memorial to me so that I can maintain it. I am currently do Ancestry on the Hardin, Miller, Bonner, and several other trees.
Her Find A Grave # is 15513100

I noticed that you are working on the Cardwell family also? My first wife who died of cancer had many 1st cousins named Cardwell, who lived in Lamont, Oklahoma, Enid Area and others. I also have them in my Dixon Tree which is a public tree as all of mine are. Also, I noted that you listed the FREE as another family your interested in. This is more cousins of my wife and I have them in the Free Tree which is public. They came from Colorado City, Texas. Please feel free to look at the tree and see if it applies to your research? Your more than welcome to use any and all info you need.
Thank you,

Hi Janie,
Thank you for transferring this memorial to me. I visited Sweetwater and got a copy of her birth and death certificates. I can not find any connection to Lue Nall. I am unable to remove the photos pertaining to Lue since you added them. When you have a chance, could you remove them?
Thanks again,
Karan

RE: Josephine Bond
Thank you kindly for the offer of txf for Josephine. Josephine's grandmother, Dicey Ann Barron Quarles, is my ggg aunt. I'm sure there is someone closer related than I am who would want to maintain her memorial. Thanks again for the offer. Enjoy a wonderful day. Beth

Silas T Kropp
Hello Janie, Did you change email address? I tried to email you but it keeps failing.

Anyway, I'm just letting you know that Silas Kropp now has a headstone, thanks to his g-grandchildren (his "Greats"). I want to thank you again for your help while I was trying to find his grave.

Also I have changed email, it is now r19g49r@gmail.com. I wanted to send you a picture of his stone but it won't go thru.
