I've been adding older memorials in my area over the winter months and plan to go out, find and photograph them when it warms up. Any information you have to add to any of my memorials would be appreciated. I search the old newspapers for old obits. and also look up the death certificates, as sometimes the obit. does not give specific birthdates, parents, etc...this information is not always correct, but if it is there, I will list it and make a note where that info. came from. If you want me to add information or change anything, please list your source.|
I have no problem with transfers if they are not related to me, but please, only ask if you plan to add to the memorial.
Any of my headstone photos may be used anywhere you'd like, I only ask that you give me credit for the photo.

I just checked Emmas's death certif. She is not at Cedar Grove. She is at Norland. I apologize for my error! I hope you did not go to a lot of trouble to look for a photo of her grave.
I corrected the cemetery on her memorial.

Thank you, Karen. It is possible that Emma is with her first spouse, but I don't know when he died... or there is just no marker for her. I will see if her name shows up on the Houpt Index.

I see that you put a photo on the memorial for David Croft. I added his 2 wives to findagrave and wonder if you have photos of their graves. Perhaps their names are other sides of David's headstone. His wives are: Ellenora W Kinneard Croft (145060287) and Emma Catherine Zimmerman Croft (145063456). Emma's grave might show Emma C Brewer Croft since she was married to a George W Brewer before she and David married.
If you don't have photos of the ladies' graves, that is okay. I am sure you or I will come across them.

It was great meeting you as well! I am amazed you knew who I was after having met once a few years ago!
I found all of the graves I was looking for except 2 - Grace Keefer Ross in G210 and the Harts (Lavinia and Milton) in A 183/185. I believe Grace does not have a marker and it is possible that the Harts also don't. I know that Grace should be with her parents (Moses and Margaret) whose headstone is behind Isaac H Keefer's, but I found none for Grace unless hers is the tall, white, illegible one. I did not have a map of section A, so I may have simply overlooked theirs. I will look again sometime. Of course, if you happen upon them, feel free to photograph it!
Hope to see you again sometime while ancestor hunting.

Thanks for visiting my pets. Your Katie "bug" was a gorgeous little girl.

Oh boy, I just looked that up. The boy that set the fire used to date Catherine.

I've fixed the mistakes. Thank you for letting me know about them. I get to typing so fast that I invert letters and I had a habit of not doing a spell check. I do have newspapers.com. I need to find Catherine's dod so I can search for her obit. I'd like to link her to her parents.

Yes it was posted when I was there. My husband's relatives were buried there so we took a chance to go and take pictures. As long as you are not vandalizing the area, I don't see any harm in it. I am not sure who owns the land to go and ask permission. Maybe records at the courthouse in Carlisle.

Thanks Karen. I will try that.
