I am a 50 year-old airline captain and live in Fort Worth, Texas. I fly the 550-mph Embraer 145 Regional Jet, an absolute blast to fly. I have dreamed about this career since I was a small boy.
I've always loved cemeteries so I was happy to discover Findagrave a few years ago and it's been one of my favorite web sites ever since. I always wondered where famous people were buried and Findagrave has them all, from the super famous to the obscure 19th century politicians and stage actors. At the same time I was thrilled to find a place to memorialize my parents, friends and pets who have passed on.
Thanks to everyone who has left flowers and notes for my loved ones. It really does mean a lot to me.

 | Steven Whitmire... Thanks much Ronald for leaving a note for Steven Whitmire. It was very nice what you said. I created that right after Steve passed away in 2007. He definitely was a good guy. Most people who he came in contact with liked him because of the personality he had. He was laid back and easy to get along with. It's been 5 years already and we all still think of him often. Thanks again for the note. I appreciate it much!! Tim | | | Patricia Brady McCain
 | YOUR DAD Ron, I rarely leave messages but I just had to tell you how blessed you were to have such a wonderful Dad. Wouldn't it be wonderful if all children were so blessed.

 | Mac Miller Hi Ron,
I am the individual who sponsored Mac's page - I did not know him, but was just touched by your story, and the photo...am I supposed to ask you to transfer the page? I would rather you keep it, and keep an eye on it, so to speak, since he is so close to your own heart...but you are more than welcome to transfer it to me, if it helps in any way, or if you are too busy to check in, much.
Lastly, love the idea of your job - I grew up in the early '70s' when young women still were not really all that welcome in the commercial aviation field, or believe me, I'd have been right up there, too, about now, tipping a wing hello your way. ha! Luckily, I went into something pretty cool in itself - writing -, and so if I wanna fly a plane, I just whip up a story and the characters! =)
Anyhow, thank you for your time and for posting Mac - I love stories about the working man, whom I continue to believe is the backbone and hope of this country.
Best,

 | You're So Welcome, Ronald Yes, Buddy is a fun-loving little guy. Loves his walks and car rides. We adopted him seven months after Rusty passed away. (I love the Poms.) Buddy is more laid back than Rusty. Guess dogs, like people can have different personalities. Hope all is well with you.Added by Aurora on Apr 18, 2012 9:38 AM | | | Patricia Luciano Graceffa
 | Your Dad Hi Ron, I know you don't know me but I just lost my dad a month ago and I was randomly reading the obits and found your fathers. What stuck out for me was your dad was only a week older then mine and he also died of lung cancer too. We grew up in the same time era and my dad was in the korean war too with the coast guard. Im so sorry to hear though you lost when when he was in his sixties. You talk so highly of your dad and the love you have for him is wonderful. He seems like a really great guy. Unfortunately, my dad and I had some issues. I feel cheated cause I didnt get the time to resolve those issues with him. When we found out he only had a few months also. I was also the only one in the room when he past. Im wondering was he trying to tell me something. I kept telling him I loved him. I also think this web site is great! I come and talk to my grandparents sometimes that I have added. Maybe this will help me with my dad. THanks for listening, hope I didnt bore you. | | | Denise Guinn
 | RE: Thanks You are very welcome, I know it's hard when they leave us, can be heart breaking, but I can't imagine life without them. Take care, Denise | | | XDianeCX
