Bio and Links
Bio Photo I was born in Texas to Jack Carroll Carter, Sr. & JoDell (Pace) Carter, grew up in Kansas, lived in Van Buren County and Conway County, Arkansas for several years. I now live back in Kansas. I love doing ancestry and taking photos of old headstones to help others with their ancestry searches.

Suggestion to photographers: The best photos are taken when the sun is on the face of the headstone from above. If you catch an old "unreadable" headstone in the middle of the day with the sun shining down on it's face at the right angle, you can read every word and number. Try it!

My mother's parents were Pace/Watson from Texas and my father's Carter/Joyner from South Carolina.

I will honor family transfers and welcome suggestions and corrections to any of my work. I enjoy researching the history of the people I add. I would like to add parents and spouses to each one. Do not take my work as gospel. Study it out for yourself. If you believe I have made an error or if you have additional information, let me know.

Lillie Tyrrell
I just noticed that the only Dutcher grave that's marked is that of their daughter Lillie Tyrrell who died in 1917. Are you interested in that one too?

Margaret Dutcher
Hi Beckie,

Margaret Dutcher is interred next to her husband Ebenezer. Both graves are unmarked. Will a photo of the lawn area be acceptable to you or would you like me to upload a scan of the block map where they are interred? Either option is easy for me because I work at the Madronia Cemetery.

Best regards,

Maria

RE: Bozarth's in Ceres Memorial Park
I also photographed Roy and Granville's graves. They are all together in a large block. If the person who claimed them doesn't follow through, then I will get those two posted also.

Christopher Columbus Ward and Lillie Pettit Memorials
Hello,
I have been trying to figure out what I did, and I sent in a correction request to the person that manages their memorials, even thou I created the one for Lillie. I hope this solves the confusion and thank you for pointing it out.

Use of Photo
Hello,
Would you object to my using the photo of James Procter Jett's headstone on his WikiTree profile? There are 2, but I believe yours is clearer. I always give credit for the photographer when I use a photo, but want approval before I use it. Thank you for your consideration. Darlene Scott Kerr

McCaleb Graves
Thankyou for your soooo recent photo of Sherman G McCaleb - My Great Grandfather and Mother. I only just a few weeks ago thought about trying to find them and learn their story....maybe they were trying to find me too. Now I have some more dates and clues to trace back even further! This is a great thing you are doing. Thank you
