I live in Columbiana County in Northeastern Ohio. Since I started my family history research, I have been amazed at the unknown family members I have found so close to my home. I want to honor them by adding them to this site. Thank you to all who place flowers on their memorials.|
NOTE: I am working closely with my cousin, Joseph Chaplow, and some of my entries are his family. Preference on transfers will go to him.
Researching: Felger, Naughton, Stanyard, Miller, Bailey, Lind, Sherry, Forney, Stallsmith, Hauptmann, Huch, VanFossan/VanFossen, Hull, Stump, Thoman, Baker, Hartje, & Rukenbrod (to name a few).
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MY PERSONAL PHOTOS. Any other use or republishing of them is not permitted. It is a violation of FindaGrave guidelines. If you have an interest in someone, please email me. However, you may copy any headstone picture I've added for your own family tree use. The exception would be using my photos when creating a duplicated FindaGrave memorial. This is not allowed and is against the guidelines. A notation that I was the photographer would be appreciated, if only to assist others who may want to contact me about family. I've received a lot of help in obtaining family headstone pictures from other researchers and want to pay it forward. Thank you.
Please check the cemetery before you make an entry to avoid duplications. I welcome any corrections to information I have entered. Please use the suggest a correction tab on the individual memorial. It's easier for me that way.
Regarding transfers, please remember...just because you are related to someone doesn't mean someone else isn't. Please see F-A-G guidelines regarding transfers. *"The goal is not to "own" every memorial of those to whom you are related. The ultimate goal should be to have meaningful, accurate memorials that honor those who have passed away, regardless of who created the memorial or who maintains it."
I ask you to remember that the members of this site are volunteers, both for entries and photo requests. They spend time and money to do this out of a love of the past, to memorialize those who have gone before, and in remembrance of beloved family members. It requires cooperation and teamwork. If you don't like to do these things, I respectfully ask that you choose another hobby.
***Please remember this precious child and his family: Camden Fairchild.***
***Please remember this young man, a Fallen Graver, who loved what he did and helped many people: Coady Hatlen. He is missed.***
Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted. Matthew 5:4
"Do not stand on my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the mornings hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave & cry;
I am not there, I did not die."
~*~ONE FINAL GIFT~*~
Scatter me not to the restless winds
Nor toss my ashes to the sea.
Remember now those years gone by
When loving gifts I gave to thee.
Remember now the happy times
The family ties are shared.
Don't leave my resting place unmarked
As though you never cared.
Deny me not one final gift
For all who came to see.
A simple lasting proof that says
I loved and you loved me.

Thank you so very much for your generosity in transferring Rebecca Catherine Sampsell Miller to my care. I have now successfully connected her, and as more information comes my way and time permits, will be adding to OUR memorial.
Your willingness to share is much appreciated.
With regards and sincerest thanks,

Thank you so much, Debra!

Thanks, Debra! I will take good care of her - my grandmother spoke about Jessie often, so I have lots of memories of her, even though she died at a very young age.

Yes, Debra, you may use the photo on your family tree. Glad I could help!!
|Nancy Muro||RE: Carrie Stump|
I didn't know by the email address to whom I was sending the Carrie Stump info. Otherwise, I would have addressed you by name and also thanked you at the same time for your welcome message to Find A Grave. Thanks for considering my suggestion to change Carrie's parents' names on her memorial.
Some of the Felgers were good friends of my grandparents--- and my own parents' graves back up to Felger graves in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Boardman. Growing up in a small town in Ohio was the best!
Thanks again for your time and care,
|Dave & Joyce Humphrey||Leroy Andre|
Thanks for the update suggestions for Leroy Andre. I updated his Memorial and also sent some suggestions to Anne Rupert for the other Andres buried at Grandview Cemetery.
