|Pamela Johnson Mortensen||Elizabeth Betty Troxel #124720233|
Were you aware that there was already an existing memorial for Betty? Listed as Elizabeth Copes Troxel, it is #121644501. Oops. =) Perhaps you can get with the creator of this duplicate and combine data.

Mary, I was able to download and print this riveting (though depressing) diary. So much to do today, yet I sat in rapt fascination through all twelve pages. Thank you so much for calling my attention to this journal! It adds so much to my record of these several Troxel families (most of them offspring of my gr-gr grand uncle John Troxel, who died before 1850. It must be his wife, Sarah (Brown) to whom Edom refers as Mother Troxel, and Joshua was their son. Thanks again!

Mary, thank you so much for this transfer. I would never have expected it, since he is so far back, and I would just assume that some other Troxel descendant would have dibs first. =) My paternal grandmother was a Troxel - Elizabeth Troxel was a niece of her grandfather's (Alexander D. Troxel). I have lots of data on them for three generations or more back on my Ancestry site, still working on it. I am just now beginning to hunt for more burials for Find A Grave. I was wanting to contact you and tell you how much I envied this journal of Edom Shugart's, so I am delighted to hear from you! If I can't access that journal, I'll let you know - I would LOVE to have it! Thanks again! ~ Pam

I never met Frances or Hjalmer Olson but they are my Grandmother's aunt and uncle on her mothers side of the family. I am trying to find anything I can on the Olson's who lived in Brandon, Zumbrote and Moorhead, Mn. If you have anything to offer please contact me through Ancestry.com Thank you for your time.

Any family connection to Mr. Tuttle? I was hoping to let family know his new location.

If I have my Antrim family tree figured out correctly.....(I only recently obtained a copy from Open Library online(about Harriet Stockton Antrim's 1899 book Early Records of the Antrims in America).
I am a descendant of Lydia's step brother, Benjamin J. Antrim bor 1826 in Indiana, son of Robert Antrim and his first wife, Mary Hinds. After living in Lacon, Marshall County, IL, Benjamin traveled the Oregon Trail in 1849 to the gold fields of California, then returned to Oregon's Willamette Valley to marry Sarah E. Sawyer. Benjamin and Sarah are my great great grandparents.
I truly value the family info about Lydia's descendants that are included in the text with Find a Grave for Martha Harris Antrim. I visited Lacon in 2010 researching Sawyers: Jesse, Mark, Jordan, and their descendants, but at didn't know at the time about Antrims also being in Marshall County.
I live in Seattle but am always looking for excuses and trips to visit the midwest sites in my family tree.
Thanks to all contributors to the Antrim list of graves in Lacon.
