Bio and Links
Bio Photo For thirty plus years I have been involved in genealogy. When my mother died, she left some notes about a few ancestors she had uncovered and hoped I would continue her research. That was the hook-in-the-jaw that changed my life. I only regret that I have missed out on so many years that I could have used. Alas, all those family stories that went in one ear and out the other, and all those family members who took so much information to the grave with them.

I am, however, thankful for the tools that are now available and for FindAGrave, a platform that I have spent many hours gaining from and contributing to.

If I have created a memorial for a member your family, who isn't related to me, and YOU CAN ADD INFORMATION TO THEIR BIO (not just family links), I will be glad to transfer it to you. However, many have received a transfer/transfers & have never added anything. This isn't fair to kin who may come along later who can do so.

An exception to the above are my Bell, Dodson, & Love ancestors and kin, most of whom have numerous descendants. Much of the information contained in their memorials is the result of many years of tedious research, and as new information comes to light, I would like to be able to make those changes. For these memorials please follow FindAGrave guidelines for transfers.

I will no longer respond to transfer or up-date requests that are sent to me on the Message Board. Requests sent this way many times have errors and often slow things down.

Instructions for ALL REQUESTS for corrections, additional information, or transfers:

1. Go to the memorial page, which has an "Edit" tab located on the upper right side of the memorial.
2. Click on the "Edit" tab, then click on the Suggest a correction or provide additional information link, which opens a message page.
3. Type in your message.

Making a request this way insures that no mistakes are made, because it takes me to the exact memorial.

Please do not post actual death certificates on my memorials. Instead, send the information shown on the certificate, & I will add it to the memorial.

Thanks for your understanding.

RE: George Berry
I a always happy to see that you are the contributor. As I said before I cross paths with you a bunch. Anytime you would rather I not suggest something, don't worry about saying so. I have quite a number of Berry's that happen to cross through the Riley's and the Stouts and other. I, especially appreciate that you are willing to add links. I really think it helps people a great deal. I think when they see that it just gives the parents names that they often will just stop there, when so many times their gravesites are available. There is one contributor that won't make any change unless they have a legal certificate. In those days often there wasn't any. My husband's family is pretty much Ozark County (mom) and Douglas County (dad).

I better get back to finishing up my Thanksgiving contributions to dinner. There aree 66 of us with children and grandchildren, but only half of them share Thanksgiving. They are all her at Christmas. All of them live in North Bend where we are except a few that are less that 30 miles away.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving and will be talking to you soon.

RE: George Berry
I wish I could remember where I read about the hanging of James.

I am just trying to help a person with some of the Berry family of Missouri. They intertwined some with my husband.

Are you related to the Berry's or is it just part of your research. So much of my data came from relatives that were still living 50 years ago. I am almost 80 years old come January and started my research at age 32. How time flies.

Thank you for always replying and please correct me if you find out something is no correct.

Martha Love
I am going to try to find Martha for you, but I don't know the Fairview Cemetery numbering. John William Love is in 484.

Is there a chart on site? Or do you have an idea of whether 484 is north, south, east, or west? The cemetery isn't too large, so I think if I understand the numbering, I should be able to find her.

Thanks, Chris

RE: Eula Ballard

No trouble at all. I made a book in 2010 off all the headstones and markers in Lone Grove Cemetery and the Ballards were not in the book. So I went and checked with cemetery records nothing there either. Hope I can help again.

Caroline Jane (Harrison) Bell
Hi Virginia, Re: Find A Grave 35185344 and DNA
As I am sure you know, Caroline was the d/o Henry Harrison (1774SC - aft1850AR). We have 4 Harrison's that have been DNA tested. Three are descendants of James Harrison, Sr (1750VA-1830 Sumner Co, TN).
Of the three, one is a descendant of James, Sr's son, Henry, thru his son Malachi (Caroline's brother). The other two are descendants of James, Sr thru his son, James, Jr (1792TN-1865TN). (they are 37/37 and 36/37 DNA matches)
The fourth Harrison tested is a descendant of Joseph Harrison (1754VA-1819MS). Joseph is now the proven brother of James, Sr Harrison. Joseph would have been the g uncle of Caroline.
In the 'Harrison DNA Project' they are Harrison Lineage #48. You can find them on the internet. All four Harrison's are Haplogroup E-P277. They are closely related to the Goins' family, that also began in VA, moved to Pee Dee area of SC/NC, and then on to TN. Both of the Harrion brothers married Gibson's. Cynthia, Gibson) Harrison, James Sr's wife, would have been the grandmother of Caroline.
Myself and a number of other 'Harrison Scholars':) have been looking for the parents of James, Sr and Joseph for a number of years. In your searching have you ever found anything that might suggest who their parents were?
Have any of your Bell relatives been DNA tested?
Best Regards, Wayne Harrison

Callie Gatlin
Would you mind linking Callie Wainscott Gatlin (#7886126) to her parents Charles Franklin Wainscott (#129908127) and Teresa Hartzog (#129908128)?
