Update: 12/18/2012
For the state of Oklahoma, they have another website with headstone photos. http://www.okcemeteries.net
Click on the county, then the cemetery and you can find all the headstone photos that are posted. Enjoy.

Just so everyone knows.. Ancestry.com has purchased Find A Grave.. They have a better server system and are slowly but surly changing over the system... Don't be surprised if you have trouble with the site now and then... As of 2014 it will still be a free service...

I don't need to own all my family memorials, but I do want to find my family.... I have over 100,000 family members, so all you volunteers and memorial providers, thanks in advance.... I only wish that if you are going to have a family member of mine, that you try to keep it updated...if I send you info... Thanks again for all the hard work you volunteers do for the rest of us...

I only take photos in the spring and early fall... but I know there are a ton of volunteers out here, so your requests will get done..

Thanks again....
If you need a transfer, just ask...

P.S. my grandson is celebrating his 5th year, and the doctors said he would not live a week.... Just goes to show you...

Here is a deal I will make for you... I love sharing and will share just about anything (husband says too much sharing) but I do love sharing. Enjoy anything you find and you can copy it and I need no credit. For those of you that do not share or need special credit... Shame on you...

I find missing loved ones all the time that I never got a chance to meet... I am so grateful for family and strangers that I have met that are willing to share their information. What a joy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart...

You are very welcome. There are two large tablets with "open bible" tops, and one smaller square top in that area--all 3 family members probably had stones. The plot is at the end of the original cemetery, bordering the beginning of a newer excavated area. I assume the already weakened stones got hit by a falling tree, or were backed over by excavating equipment when they cleared the new lot. The only text visible is on the piece of the "Clarissa stone", which someone placed face up. Unfortunate they have not been repaired.

Hi Gloria,

I called Uncle Richard and he said he will check into it and give me a call when he has the information. I will e-mail you when he gets back to me.

Best wishes,

Hello there....I do have the Letcher History book that has your family history in it. I will get it copied and emailed over to you. I didn't get all of the Lutheran cemetery photographed the day I was there but i'm planning on going back soon to finish it up. Thanks!!!

my spologies on quality of pic. Stone is broken and partially buried/covered. I am somewhat disabled and not able to get down to it to uncover the stone

Best regards
