If anyone has anything to add to a memorial I've made PLEASE let me know and I will be glad to add the information! I Love to link their parents to each memorial or have their obituary to add.|
I'm interested about who my ancestors were and how they may have influenced who I am today. I am also researching my husbands ancestors and am learning as much as I can to pass on to our daughter. It's also fascinating to learn about the many different church backgrounds they all have had. Still searching in PA!!
I found this through a friend:
Your tombstone stands among the rest;
Neglected and alone.
The name and date are chiseled out
On polished, marbled stone.
It reaches out to all who care
It is too late to mourn.
You did not know that I exist
You died and I was born.
Yet each of us are cells of you
In flesh, in blood, in bone.
Our blood contracts and beats a pulse
Entirely not our own.
Dear Ancestor, the place you filled
One hundred years ago
Spreads out among the ones you left
Who would have loved you so.
I wonder if you lived and loved,
I wonder if you knew
That someday I would find this spot,
And come to visit you.
Walter Butler Palmer

No problem, Laura. Incidentally, I just saw your approval for Nathen Zepp. I recall his dc cites his first name as Nathan. The only place I've seen it as Nathen is on his stone. Makes me wonder if the stone is in error.

You are welcome. I always feel family can do so much better at managing a memorial.

Thanks so much for accepting the edits & connections to parents and siblings for these sisters. It's always good to know that they were 'lost' but now are back with their family.
Thanks for the upgrade on Memorial # 25591071 tombstone photo. it looks so much better than was on their before, it is nice to able to read it.

Laura, I saw your name connected with my father's name above (Arthur Dale Kessler) when I visited the Epinal, France Military Memorial on line tonight. I believe we are related. Please respond when you can...I will be most grateful. Thank you.
