Note: Any duplicate memorials are not intentional. If you find a duplicate memorial that I posted, please let me know.

I'm always glad to receive updates and corrections, and thanks to those who send them.

Also I will post obits and will credit those who send them.

Please visit my Dad, Harry Edward Senft and Mother, Gertrude Mae Guyer Senft Memorials.

If anyone wants any of my photos posted, send a web link of the photo you want posted also with a web link to the memorial. If there are more than one person on the stone, you only need to send links for one person per stone with the memorial page link. As soon as I can, I will post them as requested.

Even the members who gave me a hard time and cursed me out, I will still work with them. I won't withhold my historical information or help as long as that person has the good sense to know when to back off.

There is no reason for childlike or punk behavior. When I ask to have my photos to be deleted, I expect them to be removed.

For all those who used my pictures without my permission, please document them or remove them and post no more.

I have found hundreds of my personal undocumented photos copied on F-A-G and other genealogy sites.
This is a copyright infringement. They are my personal property and not public domain.

Even when using public domain photo's, they should be documented to show respect for those who took the photos.

Posting undocumented photos can become public domain when they show up on other web pages.

Most members have been real respectful and documented my photos that were posted without my permission. To them, I let them keep the photo they posted, unless I have a better photo that I retook or enhanced.

I hope F-A-G members understand that taken these photos took over 10 years of hard work, and this is not all about me. I done this for preserving history for the generations to come and to help this generation to find their family members.

When I first stated taken these photos I was only concern about getting the data on the headstone. After years past I started being more concerned about picture quality. There were times I went back and forth many times to cemeteries to get better quality photos and re-done the whole cemetery for that reason.

I seen some members get upset over the dumbest things including myself when I reacting before thinking. We should all work together and be respectful to one other, even when we disagree with each other. Bottom line, we should all be in this together for the future generations to come.

York and Adams County, PA Cemetery Pictures

Harry Senft has taken over 282,811 pictures of of headstones, 334 cemeteries in York and Adams counties that are ALL posted online.

(Also, there are some in Cumberland Co., PA, Lancaster Co. PA, and one in Carroll County, MD.)

In conjunction with FamilyHart (aka Don & Jeanine Hartman), Custom Google Maps for each cemetery location have been produced so that the user can easily find the cemetery. An index of the cemeteries listed is also provided by name and by location. In addition, indexing of the actual cemetery picture files with links to the FamilysHart Online Databaseare being compiled. The FamilyHart Online Database contains over 982,000 linked family names, most of which have connections to York and Adams counties. This family database is the most comprehensive and complete listing of York and Adams County names on the Internet. It grows by over 1,000 names per week, and is updated online quarterly.
By The Hartman's
The York County Cemeteries USGenWeb site is a relatively comprehensive site for finding transcriptions and pictures of Tombstones in York County. Many of Harry Senft's pictures (and those of others) are posted here and are indexed by cemetery. Also found here are transcriptions of many cemeteries (some complete and many incomplete.) These transcriptions are valuable as they often include stones that are no longer readable and may not show up on photo images. Also many cemeteries only have transcriptions. Neither this site or the FamilyHart site are all inclusive for burials in York County but used together they provide the most comprehensive record of burials in the county found online.
There are over 345 different cemeteries in the county. Finding the right cemetery is compounded by the fact that many cemeteries have changed names over the years and are now known by different names. A comprehensive list of cemeteries can be found at York County Cemeteries and Locations. This link does not have burials listed but is the most complete listing of all the cemeteries in York County.

The Hildebrands
Thank you for all the work you have done in researching the Hildebrand family. It was through your tireless efforts that I discovered that my 8x grandfather (Johannes Hildebrand 1715-1783) was in the American Revolution. I am a native York Countian and my mother's father (Elvin I. Diehl) was the grandson of Sarah (Hildebrand) Wolf who died while giving birth to Sarah E. Wolf who married William H. Diehl. It was my mother who first got me interested in I'm hooked! Thanks again!

Memorial #112164848
I was wondering if you could help me untangle some people? I have been working on a family tree and ran across a Michael B Emig married to a Cassandra, or Catherine, Lau or Lauer. Several Ancestry trees link her to Christian Lau and Rosanna Ziegler. This Cassandra Lau was born about April 1817 and died Jan. 1877. Your memorial has Cassandra aka Catharine married to John Ruth. Is it possible that Catherine and Cassandra were sisters? One married to John Ruth and the other to Michael Emig? They are all buried in the same cemetery. Michael Emig is #23976498, his wife Cassandra is ## 23976715.

Thank you for the photo of her gravestone. I am wondering if you would grant me permission to use your photo(s) of my ancestors (well, in this case my husband's ancestors) to post to my files. I have no interest in the photos for anything other than genealogical purposes and in the description of the photo I place a credit tag line giving credit to the person who took the photo.

Thanks for your consideration.
