I am retired from a multi-national company and I enjoy history. I am a trustee of the Escambia County Historical Society and as such am charged with updating cemetery records for the Escambia Society and the Alabama Historical Registry.|
My interest in Find-A-Grave is purely one of preserving the history of ALL cemeteries in the coastal region of Alabama and Panhandle Florida for the sole purpose of getting said cemeteries on the historical registry. I am not a genealogist and make no claim to it, nor am I a professional photographer, although I do receive a certain gratification in photographing headstones and updating cemetery records, as well as helping others to locate lost relatives.
I have created a few thousand memorials, but I do not seek numbers. With that in mind, if you see a memorial that was created by me and it holds special interest for you, I will gladly transfer it to your care but I ask that you make allowances and please do not request in bulk.

I am so sorry to hear of your brother's passing. I did not realize until I spoke with your niece that Mr. Searcy was your brother. I have transferred management of his memorial page to you. We will be praying for you and your family.

|Gwen Lollar||Jaye, Grace|
I am not sure yet. I will certainly look in to it but I believe the Grace's may be related to me. I added about 3 new ones to this cemetery as well. One, Andrew W. Jaye, I believe will be related to me and is the reason I stopped to check out this cemetery this past weekend. I love genealogy and I will let you know about the Grace's. Thanks so much and thanks for all of your work. If you ever run across the Catrett cemetery close to Little River State Park please let me know. They say it is in the woods on private property.
The inscription on this headstone is Mary E. Harrison. All the dates you have are correct. If you wish to add her name. Thanks for all you do.
|Gwen Lollar||Medlock Cemetery|
I stopped by Medlock Cemetery on my way home from Florida last weekend. My mother had mentioned that we had relatives in that cemetery. I did not know the name of it and was happy to find your notes on Carrie D. Grace showing the name of the cemetery. I have the latt. and long. which is 31.507835 -87.475065 if you need it. Also, I managed to get dates etc. from several of the stones. It appears to me that Carrie's is Carrie D. Grace born 6-8-1838, died 6-16-1905. Wife of James A. Grace 4-27-1847 - 9-15-?. Thanks for all of your hard work.

Would you transfer Ed Bridges to me so I can add the family relationships. He is my great-grandmother's brother. Thank you for outstanding job you do for findagrave! It is people like you who make findagrave a success.

Thank you so much for taking the time to do this. It is the little details that mean so much.
I know she was proud of her many accomplishments with DAR and her memorial should reflect that. Her memorial is in good hands with you. Thank you for offering the transfer.
Would you please consider cropping and adding a second photo showing a close-up of Patricia Buffington's photo (Find A Grave Memorial# 101116190) with her name/dates with her NSDAR Insignia? Thanks.
