Bio and Links
I encountered Find A Grave years ago while surfing the net one day on some Hollywood greats, when I came across Clark Gable's memorial. Getting interested in the photos featured, I started browsing names and there they were: Fernandel, David Niven, Rita Hayworth...I was impressed to see such a keen index of so many deceased persons, even though at that time it amounted to only a couple of thousands!

Although I kept visiting the site from time to time, I did not join in immediately as a member. When I did, I used to leave a couple of messages, but creating memorials seemed a bit difficult. The first one came following the death of my Great Aunt, Sr. Teresa Orlando rscj., in 2002.

Eventually, FAG became for me a special point of reference. It did take me quite a time to collect all the information posted here, especially when it relates all the biographies featured. Naturally, in order to be able to present here all these profiles and photos, I have been in touch across the years, with several dioceses, provinces, and archive collections from all over the world. Naming all the sources is virtually impossible, but I have to mention Mr. Salvador Miranda, creator of "The Cardinals of the Holy Roman Church" Digital Resource.

Researchers might find a number of interesting profiles in my entries, including a full Necrology of all the late members of the Mid-West Augustinian Province and the Western Dominican Province, which I added across the years thanks to the great support and help received from Brother Thomas Taylor OSA., and the late Father Fabian Stan Parmisano OP., (1926 - 2009). Other entries include all the Dominican Friars interred at Rosaryville, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. These Friars belonged to the Midwestern Dominican Province of the USA. Most of the Dominican Friars affiliated with this Province buried at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Illinois, can be also found in another Virtual Cemetery of mine.

I always try to remember people who in their humbleness worked and took care of many, in silence, for whom history has left little or no space. Hoping you might find some of the memorials to your interest, I wish above all, that they might be also appreciated by others or remembered in prayers.

Fr. Thomas Bartl
Hi Eman,
Thank you so much for that wonderful photo of Father Thomas. I wish I knew where to look for those kind of photos. Can you push me in the right direction? I just finished checking all the graves at St. Benedict's Abbey Cemetery here in Atchison, KS. They all have photo's of their headstones now but I wish they all had photos of the Fathers.
Thanks in advance,
And for his photo!
I love it!

Absolutely! I am not sure he can be re-submitted as famous on a memorial already denied. You may have to start from the beginning...

Good luck and please keep me informed on the outcome :)

FG sent me a notice saying he wasn't famous enough. ?? I don't get it, are they judging by "American" standards? Because Spain sure considered him as famous as America would a famous athlete. Now, I have had them give me notice about someone else, saying re-write the bio and resubmit. So, I don't believe it is the bio. But, I too believe he deserves fame. If you would like to give his memorial a try, I will not be offended. Worse case scenario, they deny us both.

Sincerely,
Charlotte

Thank you. I had someone submit his birthday (I had the year) earlier, and have asked her to try and locate a burial too... I simply can not find one and suspect he wasn't. If his ashes are spread, I am not sure that would be announced.
