I was born in Augusta, Georgia, but now live 35 miles north of Birmingham, Alabama. I have been doing Genealogy since 1989 and am a member of the North Central Alabama Genealogy Society. My Cousin (Familygen99) and I, are working together on our family trees. We also help others find information, as much as we can. I am researching Darnell, Lynch, Brown, Easler and Logan in my line; Greene, Price, Thompson, and Weeks, in my husband's line; and also McClellan, Ryan, Arrington, and Reeves for other family members.|
If you need any memorials transfered, just ask. I will be glad to do so, as long as they aren't also part of my family.
Please leave flowers on my family's memorials.
John Douglas Greene
My Love, My Life, My soulmate. We were married for 36 years, and after 10 years, I still miss him more than words can say.
Amos Goines Darnell
Katherine Virginia Brown Darnell
If only everyone had parents like mine. They valued their family above everything else. Any child was welcome anytime. They always found room for you, no matter how full the house became.
Deborah Jean Darnell
Our baby sister. All her life she was plagued by health problems that eventually took her life. The unnamed illness stumped doctors and kept her in and out of hospitals from the time she was 5 years old. She never complained, but took each day for what it was. She will be remembered for her bravery, loyalty. loving heart, and kindness. She touched our lives with the spirit of an angel, and gave joy to all who knew her.
My Paternal Grandparents:
Henry James Darnell
A real cowboy in his day. Even down to the 2 six shooters he wore on his hips, and his horse named Dan.
Adeline "Addie" Lynch Darnell
born in 1890, she always said she was a gay 90s girl. When "Henry came courting", she would make him turn his back, so he could not see her ankles when she climbed out of the wagon.
My Maternal Grandparents:
John Edward Brown
Grandfather Brown was quite the jokester and was so full of life. He loved music, gardening, family and my grandmother with a passion.
Minnie Ruth Logan Brown
My grandmother always had a helping hand and there just wasn't anyone in need that she didn't help if she could. She often would say, "I think I have a nickel". She was an anchor in a storm for many of her grandchildren. She also had a good sense of humor and a gentle spirit.

Thanks for replying and all of your efforts.
Did you by chance go to Bayvale Elementary School in Augusta? I graduated in 1962. I am trying to find someone who had the pictorial directory during the years of 1955-1962.

Thank you for the response. The search continues for Joel Galbreath! I hope all is well with you and your family. -Andy Lawrence
this is Absolom Brown that owned land in Southern Georgia. He married Mary/Martha Green according to his decendants. She tried to make a connection to our bloodline but couldn't...:)
I have been working on photographing graves in Hillcrest, especially past members of Burns UMC. I noticed you had already added Jim & Margaret Casey and their son. There is another grave owned by Jim in that same section which is listed as Odie Casey, Section N, Lot 78, Space 1. It is not in findagrave yet. Do you know how she is related to Jim?

I don't live in SC - just take photos when I visit the area. I just moved and can't find the memory stick that has Bethel Baptist markers. I am not related to the Darnell's and have no further info. There is a death certificate for Mary Ann Darnell who died in 1945 which seems to be the Mary Ann I entered for Bethel although the years 1943 and 1945 differ. I have found several instances where markers are erected with the wrong dates.

Thanks for posting Price connection. I am interested in Elijah Adam Price, my great uncle. I have a photo of him. He died a tragic death. I have ten children listed for him. If you can expand on what I have, I would appreciate it.

Do you have any information on the History of The Lynch or Carter family? Thank you for posting the pictures of your father and the headstones from the graves. I would like to visit Hillcrest Memorial Gardens myself someday. Again thanks for the all the info you have given my family.
