I'm not sure if there is a link. I am related to an Elizabeth W. Golson born in 1924 in Autauga County to Grady Golson. What year was your GGM born?

Hello, Robert,
I'm not related - just noticed the duplication while posting an edit for the son, Ben, adding information from the funeral ledger. As I'm sure you know, Find A Grave guidelines ask that only one memorial per person be shown. Otherwise, things get too confusing when adding family links, edits, etc. And Find A Grave only works well if the guidelines are followed. I will leave it up to you as to how to handle the duplicate. But, may I suggest, since you are a triple direct descendant, you might ask Find A Grave to correct the cemetery info, merge the two memorials (or delete the earlier one), and allow you to continue as manager of the memorial.

Good luck, and Happy New Year.

Thank you so much, Bob. Other than the bible, which I am surprised to hear about, I believe the other instances of the name all came from that same census. I uploaded some photos of Carrie Etta (one with her mother Matilda, her daughter, and grandson, and the other of her alone) - I imagine you've seen those by now. I would love to hear your old stories. I found your "Female Side of Our Family" genealogy on the Lauderdale Historical Society site and am very much enjoying reading through it. I wish the Meridian Star had online historical archives - I would love to read the Alfred Snellgrove Blazed a Trail... article. I'll email you so that you can contact me privately if you'd like to share any stories. I have death dates but no sourcing, so I'll wait to submit those until I can prove them. Thanks again for your quick changes!

Thank you for your correspondence. I am not related to this family. However, I wanted to ask if you know whether the Sidney M. Jordan, CSA veteran, died 1908, from South Carolina is the parent to Sidney Jordan Sr. Thank you, Kathy Jennings-Brown

Conner family
Robert, thank you so much for the recent transfer of the Conner family.

Hope you are up and doing well! It isn't fun being sick. I am out West and I keep expecting a cold this year, (knock on wood), but so far, so good...

When you get a chance, let me know what you find in your "connor treasure chest". I still can't seem to find information on 'Berry Conner'. It seems he divorced, and disappeared. You may contact me direct if too much information for this message system.

Thanks again, Clairine

A Commendation for YOU!
Hey Robert,

Can it be that you have left almost as many virtual flowers(7,942) as you have created memorials. It is so sad to see the number of memorials in the thousands and only a few flowers left by the contributor so I say hats off to you and keep up the good work.

RE: Thelma Elizabeth
Thanks for your valiant efforts to correct this obituary. There is still one more correction to make. In the first paragraph of her obituary it says "Thelma Elizabeth Erickson was born to Don Erickson and Helga Lundquist." It should read that Thelma Elizabeth Erickson was born to John J. G. (not Don)Erickson and Helga Lundquist Erickson. Thanks again for trying. I know that it can be confusing when it is not your own immediate family and I thank you for your efforts on my behalf.
Swede was a wonderful and very loving person. I only heard from her once or twice after my husband passed on as we both got busy just trying to live life and take care of our families, but she really was a sweetheart.

Yes we are related, I just don't know where in my tree yet. I also have a large Miller line. We talked about Miller's before when I found a Miller Cemetery and was not allowed entry into the cemetery unless I proved relationship. I guess she didn't like me or didn't give her enough proof. She won't even allow the cemetery to be put on findagrave. Oh well, a day will come.

See ya cousin
