My name is Debby, I have been researching my family since 1983. I researched over 10,000 of my ancestors, but have hit a few brick walls along the way. Please check out my home page, I have not updated it for a few year, but it has a lot of research on it.|
I am currently concentrating on my Sheldon and Case lines from Vermont and New Hampshire. My family is mostly from the New England area and immigrated from Europe. My mom's side is all French~Canadian.
I am so excited to have found Find A Grave, I love going to cemeteries! I have been collecting cemetery information for so many years, I am so glad to have a place to put it now, so that it may help others as well as be a lasting memory to those who may have been forgotten.
I am a special occasion seamstress and own my dressmaking business called: Sew Special Designs.

|maureen johnston||RE: Ruth Sargeant|
You are a very resilient person to shoulder the responsibilities of being left to raise a young family by yourself, not that you had any choice when your husband died so early.
The circumstances of my great grandmother, Ruth Sargent have some similarities to your story in that she was widowed when her husband died suddenly at age 37 in Ontario and she was left with 4 children, Grace being the oldest daughter and and William being a baby. She and her two oldest daughters and young son, William returned to the USA and I believe Grace was very helpful to her mother. William died at age 22 of tuberculosis and Ruth died of the same illness exactly 3 months later, on May 13. Coincidentally, May 13 is my birthday. My grandmother, Ruth's daughter was the only family member to stay in Canada. I live in western Canada but am planning to retire in maritime Canada in the near future and am hoping to travel to New Hampshire to visit my great grandmother's grave. I consider her a very strong individual to have survived difficult circumstances as I'm sure your family feel about you. Also, thanks for the headstone pictue of Norman Watts as he was Graces' son. The only curiosity I still have is Graces' date of death as I'm wondering how long she lived.

Debra, thank you so very much for taking the time to find and photograph the grave of Ruth Sargent and her son. A bonus was that her daughter, Grace was also buried there which I didn't realize. Also, Grace's son. Ruth is my great grandmother and I'm in the process of completing a family tree so this information really helps. The dates on the headstone are a bit blurry so if it is possible the next time you are at the cemetery, I would appreciate another photo - can't determine the date of death of Grace Watts. Sincerely, Maureen Johnston

Yes I will remove them, no trouble, good luck with your genealogy searches.....

My name is Nathan Adams and I am a brother to Chester and Curtis Adams who are buried in that cemetery. I have just provided a photo of my brother Chester that I took in 1994. I was raised at the farm you can see from the cemetery, and it is still in the Adams name.
But, there is another farm on that road and it is the Ojanen farm originally, as it is now owned by someone new. There are three Ojanen's buried in the cemetery, and I noticed they are not listed in the listing of internments. Can I have this corrected?
I now live in Florida, and I do not come back north very often. Any help with this, will be greatly appreciated.

Have looked through all of my great-aunt's notes on Chester families, and unfortunately, did not find anything that might help you. So sorry... I know that solving the puzzle is part of the fun of genealogy, but it is nice - once in a while - to find pieces that fit together! Good luck! Jo W.

That is what I anticipated... the guy I found did not match at all with your data. Will keep my eyes open for relevant information! Jo W.
