We love to walk through cemeteries, looking at headstones and taking pictures. We have found many old family graves for our families and for friends.

Genealogy has been a big part of our lives for over 12 years and we are still learning and finding new information. We are always up for the hunt!

RE: Miller relative?
Bob n Patty

Hi Yes they do, they are Norris n pam Carstensen, infact I told him Sunday at Church that I had sent you a message and he knew immediately who I was talking about. I'm in the process of doing a family book for them(Pam's side too). We have know Norris n Pam for over 30 yrs and they are our best friends. Thanks for getting back with me. Nice to meet some of Norris's family. Cindy

Miller relative?
Hi Bob and Patty
My name is Cindy L, I'm doing a Ancestry tree for some friends and I see you names come up on many of the Find a Grave and the family's reletives are Miller so I'm wondering if you are related to the people I' researching? The father's name is Byron Delos and Nellie E Fuller Miller. My friends live around here and I'm just curious, I'd like to be able to tell them if they have cousin's.
Thanks, Cindy

Hi Patty and Bob!

Thanks for adding and linking and no ..... I'm not related! Just "following" some Dutch families on their way to a new country!

It is a small world!!
That is my youngest picking flowers. She has had an uncanny knack from toddler-hood to find the baby headstones and place the dandelions on them.
One of my favorite photos of her.

You are more than welcome. That small little grave marker was hard to find. It is so sad when I run across an unmarked grave.

You are very welcome. I have been spending a lot of time at Cedar Hill Cemetery recently.

Cedar Hill is a true prairie cemetery. Occasionally civic organizations will go up and have "clean up days" where they remove debris and what not but the grass is left native.

Right now the wildflowers are in full bloom and it is lovely.

Blessings,

Michelle

Thanks for doing the maintenance on these. I know it can be a pain.

I wish I did have pictures, but unfortunately not. They are actually pretty distant relatives. Aaltje/Alice was my great-grandmother's sister (the Ponstein family). She married into the VanFarowe's so none of them are "blood". My family isn't one of those that has all these old pictures that they hand down. I'm lucky to have one or two of my parents and grandparents. :(

But again, a ton of thanks for all the linking and updating!

Thanks so much for doing those - and so quickly! I sent a few more, and am still looking. There are a bunch over in Beaverdam cemetery too so I am trying to get them all sorted out. Some I have a suspicion of who they "belong" to but want to get some further proof first. Probably need to get obits to confirm those, as census data just isn't getting the job done. LOL
