'The Dead....do not suffer the Living to pass. The way is shut! It was made by those who are dead.....and the Dead keep it! The way.....is shut.'
I have been researching my family lines since 2000 and have accumulated hundreds of pictures from dozens of cemeteries. I hope by sharing these photos with/on 'Find A Grave' it will help others re-discover their family and their heritage. I will make an effort to display only proved data with sources; and if any mistakes are found, feel free to contact me so we can make the appropriate corrections.
A very special ‘Thank You' to my mentors for getting me jump started; Shawn – Paul Allison, Dave Ash, Thomas B. Gotham, Doug Lyon, Janice Barker-Reeder, Stella Weaver – Ward, Mildred Allison – White.

Wilmer W. Allison His tombstone and obit give his birth as 06 Jun 1877, but his birth record states 15 Jun 1877. One source I used to access the birth information gave it as 13 Jun 1877, but that was incorrectly transcribed. Thought I'd send this out to you today.
Edward Paul Shestina The information is from the cemetery index which records that his ashes were interred on 6/14/1997 at Sec. C, Block B, Tier 1, Grave 4. The index isn't always accurate, but the office staff are extremely helpful, so give them a call to double check. (216)351-1308
Dora Allison-Blazier I just found her death certificate issued in Pennsylvania. Her birth is listed as 14 Feb 1862. I originally had her birth as being just 1861. On your grave page, her tombstone lists her birth as 1862. When yins get time, could you change the 1861 to 14 Feb 1862...BTW, today is her 154th birthday.
RE: Andrew Jordon Allison I will add the link to the obit soon. I have a ton of questions and maybe answers for others. It's been a busy week as you can imagine. I will keep in touch after things settle down. Thank you for replying.
Andrew Jordon Allison My father Harold W Allison passed away on Sunday October 11th. My grandmother put together a book of relatives in Dec of 2003. I was studying this book and found the several names listed on this thread. My grandfather was Andrew Jordon Allison he passed away on 06/28/60 before I was born. I look forward to discussing our family ties in the near future. I am so happy my grandmother put this book together. Sincerely Pam
RE: Thanks for the Information It IS very time consuming. Edwin Allison's daughter (my grandmother) Harriet Grace Allison had a total of 16 children, and 6 step-children. My mother being the youngest. It is a very large family indeed. My grandmother married Walter M Jennings, who is the grandson of John Jennings. John was lynched by the red face militia in 1873 for being the leader of the infamous "Jennings Gang" of Wetzel County, WV. Google - History of Wetzel County, murder of John Jennings. Very interesting what you find when you go looking. I am pleased that with Charles Allison Jr and Sr, I am the direct descendant of no fewer than 6 Revolutionary War fighters. Thanks for all the info I have found that you have posted. We are planning on making a trip to as many of the cemeteries we can. I may be adding photos to a few of your memorials.
