Bio Photo My work on the Confederate section of Old City Cemetery is my primary goal at this time. This is a labor of love and I will not stop til it is complete. If you take photos in the Confederate section to post a memorial here, please check, double check and triple check before posting. There are a lot of errors in the records and a number of the stones are incorrectly marked. I will be posting memorials for soldiers in the Confederate section based on how their names are written down in the Diuguid records as those records seem to be the first place most people turn to for identifying a soldier. I will also post the correct name of any soldier based on unit records or any other information you may pass on to me with the correct spelling of a soldier's name. A HUGE thank you goes out to find-a-grave member LJH for all of the help in correctly identifying the men!

I put a lot of effort into taking good quality photos. These last couple of years have been a learning experience, but I think I have got the hang of it, finally. I hope you don't mind my posting a photo to your memorial, even though you may already have one or more up. ***If you do not want my photo on your memorial, please let me know and I will remove it***. It is so very important to me to take a good quality photo as I want to make sure the info I put on a memorial is correct on the chance that a family member will find the information and be able to use it. I always spend a little extra time wiping off grass clippings or bird poop, but that is all. Sunny days are best for a good photo, morning shadows really make a stone pop. Photoshop is your friend as well :)

RE: Robert W Adams
Thanks, Darrell. One thing I have learned is that after a member has no activity for a long time (perhaps a year, I am unsure) then they are considered "inactive" and others can request to manage memorials that they have created. There used to be a way to contact management about that somewhere in the fine print of the site. I am not very active (but I don't qualify as inactive) so I am no longer sure exactly where that is. I do agree that it is sad that it is so difficult to get correct information on memorials.

RE: Robert W Adams
Hello. My page on Robert W Adams has dates/places of birth and death as well as a short bio. I would be happy to delete it if "Anonymous" (who created the first memorial) would add the information to the earlier-created memorial. Would you like to Ask "Anonymous" to do that? I have not been active on find a grave for a while and I have forgotten the policy if someone does not respond to requests to change a memorial but hopefully "Anonymous" will respond. I knew about the regiment and thought this veteran deserved to have his information and a short bio posted.

Thanks for photos of their markers, as well as all the others you've added this summer. They are excellent.

Thank you Darrell. I saw that you had also posted additional info and a picture of the marker for Jeremiah Thompson (also of 16th Georgia Infantry.) Thank you so much!

RE: W B Moon
Hey Darrell, Great photos as usual. You might want to hang onto him in case a relative pops up that wants him transferred. In the mean time, I know he's in good hands.
