Bio and Links
Bio Photo My interest in Find A Grave began while researching my family history. After creating memorials for my ancestors and extended family, I added information from obituaries in old extant newspapers.

For the past few years my focus has been on taking headstone photos. I am currently playing catch-up, editing and adding pictures I took in 2014 and 2015.

Like you, I am a volunteer. I participate in this labor of love because I believe it's an important part of our history.

I will gladly update any memorial in my care with a sourced request. Simply share a few details about how you know something to be true when you submit an edit (using the edit tabs please).

Inside voices and good manners are very much appreciated.

RE: Ann I Broom
Ancestry.com. You just have to be careful and choose the right workup, one that has documentation. There are a lot of bad trees on there due to the easy copying. The only thing I questioned on Ann's information was her middle name. She is one census with an I and another with an E. Unless she one of those with two middle names?

RE: Fredrick and Mildred Fredrichsen
Hello,

Below are listed the two different individuals and what information I acquired to complete their profiles.

1. Fredrick Fredrichsen - US Dept of Vet Affairs list birth and death dates. Wisconsin Death index list death date and location. US SS Death Index list birth and death dates and last residence. 1930 census list birth location as Illinois.

2. Mildred Spruth - Cook Co., Ill. birth cert list parents Edward Spruth and Hattie Ihtenfeld, birth date and location. SS Death index list birth and date dates and last residence. 1910, 1920 & 1930 census list age and State of birth as well as parents. Marriage of parents was also in the same location as birth of children, Chicago, Cook, Illinois.

Please let me know if you need further information. Thank you for you assistance with these family members. Your help is gratefully appreciated.

RE: Frank Bockins
Sorry, I intended to include the source, I almost always do, I guess I missed it.
Chicago Tribune (IL)) - Sunday, August 29, 1954

I was "chasing" a Bockins, but he was not the right one, but I wanted you to have the advantage of the research I did.

RE: Audrey L Maynard
Laura as I find my moms family members I would like to add them to hers , so the info is there . All I can say is Audrey is my mother and I have info on her family but have not gathered all their grave numbers , she also had 9 siblings only 2still living. When a person has not died like myself and sisters how can we be added ? There would be no memorial number.
I am glad her is documented (a picture) can you tell me why my stepdad Jack D. Maynard is not his grave is about 50 ft from hers he died 1968 Dec. born Dec 1930 I love finding family for our history book for our children one day , most of Audrey's is in Al. Buried

RE: Olga Rogowski
Cook co. death index and SSA. P.S. it's very time consuming to re-check my source just for you. If everyone did this, I'd never have free time.
