just saw some photos you posted to George Campbell's page. I am researching my husband's Campbell ancestors. His great grandmother is Dallie Dobbins (m. Robert Campbell). Are you by chance related?
|Mary Lewey||Choice Family Cemetery location|
I went to the cemetery about 5 years ago since I am a descendant of William and Mary. I am from Alabama so my husband and I made a weekend trip of it. My notes on the location indicate I used GPS Coordinates to locate them. The location was N34 35.341 x W82 14.305 Near Greenville. 4.5 miles SE of Ware Place.
I remember that it seemed like we were in the middle of no where but the GPS location took us straight there. I think I found the GPS information online back then. The cemetery was on the left across the road from a house trailer. It was completely surrounded by a iron fence that did not have a gate. A tree had fallen on the fence but it was rotted and I did not dare try to climb on it to get inside the fence. The names were visible but hard to photograph outside the fence. William, Mary and one of their sons are buried there.

Hi - I see you have posted photos of this cemetery. Can you please tell me where it is located? I've had someone ask me (since I posted the memorials) how to find it and I don't know as I posted the memorials from a Cemetery Census book and don't have specifics regarding the location. I'd appreciate your assistance as the person inquiring has relatives buried there. Thanks.

Nice blog! And I concur with your conclusion and the intangible reasons why some sources "seem" more reliable than others. Happy Hunting & Merry Christmas! :) Deb

Are you sure on the name for JJ Dobbins? Another memorial has "James Jesse" and I had "Jesse James" in my records. Since you are a Dobbins, I'm hoping you have a source that spells it out! Thanks for your work! Deborah :)
