Thank you for following FindAGrave procedures.
Contributor Connie posted this. I thought it was such a great idea I posted it to my page! Thanks, Connie!
Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.
Please ask permission before posting my personal family photographs, photographs I have taken of grave stones or biographical material I have written from my memorial pages on this site to Ancestry.com or any other website or personal webpages.
Please see FindAGrave Frequently Asked questions for more information:
How do I get a relative's memorial transferred to me?
First, Determine if you really need the memorial transferred to you for management. Transferring of management should only be requested If you have extensive changes to make to a memorial. You can add photos and suggest corrections without having to request management. Simply having someone in your family tree is not grounds for a management transfer request. With hundreds of thousands of contributors, we have many overlapping family trees and it would be impossible for all contributors to manage their entire tree.
Many thanks to everyone who has contributed information and photos for my memorials. I usually link to the individual contributor using HTML code. If this is unacceptable to you just let me know you prefer to remain anonymous.

|JDeLauche||Find A Grave Memorial# 97883363 - Sarah Beach Gonsalves|
I have submitted an edit for the death date for Sarah Beach Gonsalves. I also found a newspaper death notice for her. I know from other research on the family, the surname, Gonsalves, was often mis-spelled "Gonzales." That was the case for the newspaper death notice I found for Sarah.
I have posted a JPEG image of the 16 Jan 1872 (Tuesday) death notice from the Washington, D. C. newspaper _The Critic_ stating she died Monday, 15 Jan 1872.
Her husband, The Rev. Manuel Joaquim Gonsalves, was a U.S. Army Chaplain at the time, stationed at posts in the West, Texas and elsewhere, so the funeral and burial may have been delayed until he could return to Washington, D. C.
I just thought you should have some background on my death date edit for her memorial.
Thank you for your excellent Find A Grave work.

|Rhonda Tischler Gaylord||RE: George N. Tischler|
I had to chuckle just because my husband served in the Air Force with the wrong date of birth, it happens. I thank you for being so through.
I will send his birth info to you. His father (also George) was the brother to my great grandfather and they lived with them in Chicago, Cook Co, Illinois, when they migrated from Hungary. George Jr's mother (Franczika Schaad a.k.a. Frances) was born in 1883 and George Sr. was born in 1880. I have their marriage record and I have George Sr. birth record if you need them to verify the dates.
The birth info I'm sending you has the parents birth years listed along with the names, somewhat mispelled, that's why I mentioned it.
|JDeLauche||Charlotte Estella Gonsalves, # 97883183|
Thank you for establishing the Find A Grave memorial for Charlotte Estella Gonsalves.
I found a newspaper account of her funeral in The National Republican (Washington, D. C.) newspaper, dated Monday, April 29, 1867. I have saved the images of the long newspaper account (a long column) in 2 JPEG images. I can post the article I turned into JPEG images on her memorial page, if you wish. Please let me know if posting the images of the newspaper account is acceptable to you.
According to the article about her funeral, the funeral and burial took place Sunday, April 28, 1867. She died Thursday April 25, 1867. I did create an Edit notice for you regarding her date of death.
According to the article about the funeral, she caught a severe cold about 3 weeks prior to her death, with it becoming worse. I can only guess she died of pneumonia.
I felt I should send you this message with more background, so you will be assured of the correct date of her death and her funeral and burial.
Again, thank you for your Find A Grave work.

The plantation is in Falmouth, Stafford County, Virginia, as I have been there.
|Shamrocks||RE: Margery Katharine|
She IS in fact interred here, as "Margery Mitchell Lampert" Her mother, Margery and daughter, Margery are also interred here. Very confusing!
I am assuming that they left the "Dudley" off of her name since she was buried with her first husband. (Her second husband is buried here as well, with his first wife).
|Shamrocks||RE: Margery Katharine|
It's possible, but not usual, to have a funeral in the Old Caset Chapel without burial. I will check the alternate last name when I'm back at work on Monday.
Thanks so much for the info on using foil to bring out inscriptions. There are a few stones here I'm going to try it on!

|HWA||Nellie Viola Vrooman # 153274152|
Just checking in with you about one of your corrections. What is your source giving Nellie as her nickname, as opposed to her first name? Although she is usually listed in census records as "Viola I. Vrooman", the 1910 census lists her as Nellie V. Vrooman. Her marriage record in "District of Columbia, Select Marriages, 1830-1921" gives her name as Nellie Viola Ingle, as does her wedding announcement in the Washington Post on 24 Nov 1908.
