that GAR photo you put on each civil war veteran does not belong there, it is
general item and does not reflect what is actually on the individuals grave. It
would be better served being used as a "flower"

While researching my own family tree, I came across Charles A. Straw's obituary. I noticed the place of birth you indicate is not what was included in the obituary. I am attaching the obituary so you might add it to his memorial and make the correction. I also found it interesting that his wife's name is spelled "Virgie" on her tombstone, but "Vergie" in the obituary. Do you know which is correct?
Obituary from The Clearfield Progress (Clearfield, PA) published on March 16, 1967:
CURWENSVILLE -- Charles A. Straw, 67, of 419 Hill St., Curwensville, died yesterday, March 15, at 10:55 a.m. in the Clearfield Hospital.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Rescue Hose and Ladder Co., and was a retired employee of the Howe Leather Co.
Born at Kerrmoor Jan. 21, 1900, a son of the late Breck and Margaret (Maloney) Straw, he is survived by the following children: Mrs. Betty Litz, Curwensville; James, Mahaffey; Mrs. Charles (Margaret) Ricotta, Clearfield; and Mrs. John (Beverly) DeLeon, Allentown.
Fourteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive as do the following brothers and sister: James, Curwensville; John and George, both of Clearfield; and Mrs. Clifford (Florence) Lee, Altoona.
His wife, the former Vergie Barrett, preceded him in death as did two sisters.
Funeral services will be held in the First Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Robert Conrad will officiate and interment will be in Watts Cemetery.
Friends may call in the Russell H. Lininger Funeral Home from 7 p.m. today until noon Saturday. The family will receive friends in the church from noon Saturday until 2 p.m.

David is my Great Great Grandfather through his daughter Margaret, Margaret's daughter Ruth, and Ruth's daughter Rosalynn (My Mother). Can you please add David's parent links to his memorial?
