I scout antique stores and websites that sell antique photos in order to pair up the grave with the person. I get lucky when the name is unusual enough and I have a date on the back of the photo with the state. After investigating, this usually this leads to success. Out of the dozens I have paired, I have been wrong once.
Nothing thrills me more than to give this lonely gravestone an identity. Also, the people in those old photographs should not be forgotten. I might do this because I don't have much of a family myself and no family grave site. I hope to find your relatives one day!

|Shelley Cardiel||STONE Family Photograph|
I have "rescued" another photograph identified as Elwin STONE which matches the one you posted on findagrave, however, the photograph I have was taken in the 1890's so it could not have been the same Elwin STONE whose memorial page you've connected it to.
I believe instead that it belongs to one of the two Elwin STONE'S that were born in 1889 in Michigan. Not yet sure which, but I am working to connect with family and confirm which of the two it actually is.

Thank you for adding this picture of my great great grandmother.
Could you tell me the source of your photo of Althea? I have several of her. Her father John Wesley was my granduncle. I am always hunting for more Hodson photos. Thank you for putting her on there, she was a real cutey.

Photo of Hannah Magraw Andrews Treen
I was looking today through the 60+ memorials I manage. All of these memorials are for ancestors of either myself or my wife. I have been gradually adding old photographs that I have of those ancestors to the memorials. Today, however I spotted a new photo that you added to my memorial for Hannah Magraw Andrews Treen. This is the first time that a co-contributor to Find A Grave has added a photo to one of my memorials.
Hannah's husband's parents were my mother's maternal grandparents. Although I have photographs of Frederick Saffery Treen's parents and some of his siblings, I had none of either Frederick or Hannah.
Thank you very much for adding Hannah's picture to her memorial !! Do you have any other photos of the Treen or Andrews Family members? How did you come across the picture? Are we related ??

|Emily (Fairlamb) Parker||Uncle Oscar and cousins|
What a pleasant surprise photo. An uncle and cousins together. Thank you so much. By the way, I'm told I favor the young lady on the left, Retta or Maretta Fairlamb. Interesting since we are 87 years apart.
I located the photo on the sweb, forgootenfacesand longagoplaces.com by Teresa and just love the site. Thank you, Nicoine Emily Fairlamb Parker
