|Tracing the family roots is so interesting and full of surprises, for myself and the rest of our family. When you learn more about your family from past generations, you learn to love and respect those people of the past, as if you known them yourself. Some of the surnames I'm searching are: Adkins, Boggs, Bussey, Cantrall, Creekmur, Daniel, Daniels, Edwards, England, Hall, Hodges, Kirkpatrick, Meeker, Riffle, Smalley, Such, Suckow, Zook, and more......just to name a few.|

|Jan Goss||Zebulon Cantrell|
Find A Grave has been very helpful but the entry for Zebulon Cantrell is not helpful. How do I put this tactfully, better no entry than one as poorly sourced and erroneous as this one.
This man was my 6th great grandfather and his parents are well known and documented.
Zebulon Cantrell is native born as were his three siblings. All were born in or around Philadelphia. Zebulon was probably born in 1697.
His parents were immigrants. It is believed that Richard Cantrell (b abt. 1666; d 31 May 1753) arrived in Philadelphia in 1682 or 1683 possibly on the ship," Bristol Merchant"I think not but others say the ship "Welcome"; however, there is solid evidence that he married Dorothy Jones about 1693 in Philadelphia.
Zebulon's wife and death are not so clear but his parents are clear.

Thanks for posting these Halls.
I am helping a friend do her genealogy, and she almost cried when we found the bio you wrote about her relatives.
Thanks so much.

Hello, which Zebulon??
Hi Leslie. Reading your bio of Zebulon, sounds like one of his brothers may be Richard Cantril (Cantrell). See this link: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GSln=cantrell&GSfn=richard&GSby=1700&GSbyrel=before&GSdyrel=all&GSob=n&GRid=75617345&df=all&

I was pleasantly surprised to see how much information that the Find a Grave website shared. It was very nice to see that we are distantly related. My father, who is 82, was raised in the Athens, IL. Nice to hear back from you, I will check the Find a Grave from time to time and see if there are any updates.
