Edgar Fair Herring (13 Apr 1889 - 5 Oct 1937)
Ms. Childs: Thanks for your diligence & dedication in providing information & photographs to the Find A Grave web site. Consider the site as critical in locating & validating members of my immediate & extended family. My wife & I were both born in Hattiesburg. We have never forgotten our life growing up in the area . The Herring family is not related to our own but proved to be an integral component my wife's upbringing. In the course of my 50+ year effort to find my own family connections, have made an effort to assist others where possible. In this context, would appreciate your allowing my use of the photograph on Find A Grave to profile Mr. Herring with ownership details with the usual credit shown on our tree in All the best, Larry & Carole Hoffman Morrison of Maumelle, Arkansas

Carol, just to let you know that her father's name was actually Martin William Bryan. He was my great-grandfather and that is how I know what his name is. I saw the error on the death certificate and made corrections there so I'm sure that must be where you found the information.

Thanks for all your hard work maintaining these records.

RE: Capt. Thomas Lee
I knew there were two John Lee Esquire's and two Capt Thomas Lee's.My Capt Lee's father was John Lee Esq.John who was born in Nansemonds Co.Virginia somewhere
between 1690 and 1700 and died between Dec.4,1766
(the date his will was written)and Feb.1768
(the date his will was probated) in Johnston Co.
North Carolina.
John married Mary Bryan who was born before 1705.She was the daughter of William Bryan and Alice Mccloud.John and Mary are buried in Johnston Co.North Carolina.
I have done very little research on trying to find where they are buried.
Capt Thomas Lee is buried in the Lee Valley Community Cemetery in
Hawkins Co.Tennessee.On Find A grave Capt Thomas Lee has a Revolutionary marker. The Capt was born Dec.3,1729 in Northumberland Co.Virginia and died July 2,1816 in Hawkins Co.TN.This info was researched thru the Lee family.Let me know if this is helpful.Esther
