I was born and raised in the grand State of Maine, and now reside in the capital city of Augusta.
Eagle Scout (1977). A special thanks to Homer Downs and Beecher Whitcomb during my trail to Eagle. I've now added both of their memorials.
Prior service: Navy Chief Petty Officer -RPC(FMF)-. Served with NMCB-27, advanced to Chief and then transfered to HQ Co. 25th Marines. Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran -2003-, served in Kuwait.
The spring of 2004 both my brother Owen (March) and my mother (April) passed away. Needless to say that was a challenging time in my life. And at that point of my life I guess you could say I became I taphophile.
The Lord will provide strength, as we depend upon Him.

A note for those who seek the truth regrading babies and angels: The Bible does not teach that babies become angles - they do go Home to be with Jesus in Heaven and those who are saved will be united with them again. King David spoke of being united again with his child. We need to follow the teaching to God's Holy Word. Additionally, not all persons go to Heaven -- Satan and his ilk have their dwelling place.

B - Believe on Christ Jesus as Saviour. "But God commendeth his love towards us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8
C - Call upon the Lord by faith and be saved from sin, unto new life in Christ. "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:13
The Bible's plan for going to Heaven is very simple, so don't try to make it hard. God loves you and sent His Son, Jesus, who died upon the Cross to pay the penalty of sin for you.

 | Cemeteries in Augusta
I am not sure if you know of any little obscure cemeteries in Augusta, Maine or not. I am looking for one Daniel Hilton who died in Augusta 28 June 1816, and his wife Sarah Robinson Hilton who died in Augusta 13 April 1828. Daniel served at the Fort with Capt. Howard, owned land not far from the fort, etc. I cannot find either of them in Augusta. The other possibility is that they were buried on the coast near Wiscasset/Woolwich/and/or Georgetown/Bath where they were from, respectively. If you ever come across them, I'd like to hear from you. Just keep in mind there were many Daniel Hiltons. These death dates are accurate for Daniel and his wife that I am searching for. Thank you. | | | Jeanღ

Yes, most of us know that babies go to heaven as babies, We refer to them as our little angels in sentiment only. Have you ever lost a child or grandchild? Not every thing is to be taken literally. God's angels dwell in Heaven and some unseen here on earth. And you are so right of course, not all adults will go to heaven. {BUT BABIES DO} God will make the final choice. | John Lewis Thomas family in Pine Grove Cemetery
Now that we have the gravestone photos posted for John Lewis Thomas and family in Pine Grove Cemetery, can we do some Teamwork Transfers so that that his wife isn't just old Helen Whatsherface and his daughter Briley can have her middle name Mariella. Gone are the days of ladies being treated like belongings. It seems that [Suggest a Correction] might sometimes get filtered into junk mail folders.
