McAvoy #23130439
Hi. I am the great grandaughter of Charles E. McAvoy (1850-1919). My grandmother was Sarah Margaret McAvoy and my mother (still living) is Sarah Ann (Leskowski) Hoke. My mother doesn't remember her grandfather having any brothers. Bridget McAvoy was his sister (married a Zerbe). I am trying to find a connection from Charles to a Michael McAvoy (b. 1845, married to Caroline Sherry in PA). My aunt Bernardine McAvoy saved volumes of articles etc. that she passed to my mother and now I am sorting it all out. She had an obituary for James E. McAvoy (b. 1868, d. 1937, as well as his wife. She also had an obituary for James McAvoy's sister, Cecilia McAvoy (1870-1961). Both James' and Cecilia's list Michael and Caroline as their parents. I don't think she would have saved those articles if they were not related. So.....the Find a Grave memorial says that Charles had a brother Mike and a sister. This may be the missing link for my tree, as no surviving relatives remember my great grandfather having a brother. Can you confirm for me. I have all of the Charles E McAvoy children and grandchildren info that I can add to the site, but don't want to take ownership of it at this time. Thanks for your help!

RE: Victoria VanHorn
I can't remember at the moment where I got the information for the memorial and that of her son but I know I got it from a reliable source so I will make a note to look back into it soon :) I've been on vacation since the 7th and just got home little bit ago and checking my 200+ emails lol. Might be a few before I get around to going through all the Find A Grave edits and messages but I will try to by the week end!

RE: Annie Back Miller
No problem. It is easy to do with so many same named cemeteries in a county. Just so happened that I was in the process of adding my photos to the Miller Cemetery in Campton and noticed I did not have one for Annie.

Annie Back Miller
I just recently photographed the Miller Cemetery in Campton, Wolfe, KY and I did not find a stone for Annie. Are you sure she is buried in Campton? I noticed that was what the obit stated but they have been wrong before. There is another Miller Cemetery in Wolfe County and her husband Chester is buried in it. The cemetery is in Burkhart, Wolfe, KY. See memorial # 60584876.

Do you know anything about this man? I think he was my grandfather (Spencer Jenkins) grandfather. He was from Tennessee. His wife's name was Amanda Moreland. Thanks
