After retirement from being an elementary school teacher, I have become more involved in genealogy. Visiting cemeteries has helped me complete some missing facts of my ancestors. Since it is impossible to visit all the locations where ancestors are buried, I have found findagrave.com to be a way to see the stones of many of my ancestors.|
Memorials that I have in Newton, Barry, and McDonald Counties, Missouri, and Ottawa County, Oklahoma, are not related to me. I have found these stones walking cemeteries and taking photos of the stones. Memorials that I maintain in Jasper County, Missouri, are not related to me. I would be happy to transfer any of these memorials to family members. The reason that I have added photos is to help families find their ancestors.
Please do not post death certificates or obits in the photo section of memorials that I maintain. I would like for this space to be available for descendants to add personal photos. Thank you for helping with this.

My name is Roger Eaton. My grandparents were, Ira Willis and Susie Lodean Eaton. I was reading the information you have about my grandmother's siblings and I noticed there were some missing. Besides aunt Jewell, there was an Avis, Myrtle and, I think Aretha. I say Aretha because dad called her "Retha". I can't remember the last names of any of them right off hand, but I will think about it. Avis lived in Carthage, Missouri and I think her husband's name was Carl. Aunt Myrtle lived in Coffeyville, Kansas and I can't remember her husband's name. Then aunt Retha lived in Phoenix, Arizona. She had a daughter, I don't know her real name, but dad always called her "Dickie". If I remember any more I will notify you, but that's it for now. I think Aunt Avis's son was called, F. C. You may contact me if you have any questions that may spark a memory in me. You may contact me at: firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks so much for the work you've done. Roger Eaton

Thanks for letting me know about the inaccurate date of their marriage. I added a newspaper article showing the celebration of their 50th anniversary, which includes the date they were married.
Happy New Year!
