I saw your posting for photos of graves at the Medicine Lodge Cemetery which someone else has already claimed. I'm reading old newspapers and have found other articles about the Rackley family if you're interested. I can send them to your private e-mail because they're jpegs.

Thank you so much!
|Pat Jimerson Bell||RE: Ratliff / Bell|
I was quite interested in your comments about the Ratley spelling of the name. I've not encountered that (not that that means anything in particular). I had found where one of Peter Hildebrand's daughters (Minerva, to be exact) married a Rackley, Charles Rackley. I have another one, too, who has given me fits -- James Looney Ratliff, who married a Peggy Hargrave. They had a couple of daughters, one of which, Lucy, married Lewis Walker Hildebrand and their daughter Annie was my grandmother Annie Nidiffer Allison's grandmother. Lucy had a sister Jennie who married one of Lewis's brothers, Capt. Isaac Newton Hildebrand. It all can get pretty messy, can't it?
I'd love to know more about the line you mentioned.

Thank you for all your hard work (I've been at it a few years myself and I have more than a notion) and even more for your generosity in sharing your findings.
A Hildebrand descendant.
I am looking for information on the Bushyhead family. I know that all Bushyheads come from John Stuart/Stewart who married into the Cherokee tribe. I am looking for information on their son John Bushyhead. I believe he first married an unknown Cherokee woman and they had 4 children (Catherine, Isaac, George, and Nancy). It looks like these children were part of the Old Settlers immigration to Arkansas in 1817. The Cherokee mother died and then Bushyhead remarried Nancy Foreman.
I would appreciate any help!

I am trying to locate my great greatgrandparents:
Brazelton Bell (may also be A. B. Bell or Annanais Bell) and Belle Jack Bell (May also be Martha M. Jack Bell. They apparently died young leaving their son Charles Monteith Bell orphaned. I just recently got a clue that he might be buried there. I see from your write up that other family members are there. For example, his father Russell C Bell and his uncle Abner E Bell.
It would be great to know more about them. Any suggestions?

Saw you had a photo request but didn't see a memorial from you for him so I just put one up. Sherry

Is the John Biddix in the Birdtown Cemetery also Newt Biddix in Birdtown B.1873 D. 1967? If so I have a picture of his stone. Let me know (I believe it is)and I will post it for you. Spent a few days in Cherokee and went to the Cemetery to take pictures of family and remembered a few names from my dad and aunt so took some other ones and saw you were looking for Biddix. Sherry
