Bio Photo Retired teacher, moved from Maine to Kentucky in 2007 to enjoy the mild winters. Now heavily interested in history and genealogy of the Boyle-Casey county area since I have a cemetery in my back yard (May #1, Boyle County). Additions to any memorials I have posted will be reviewed and cheerfuly accepted unless I have solid reasons for not doing so. I will NOT post obituaries of RECENT deaths out of respect, nor will I post names of living relatives, out of privacy.

Transfers are also willing made, preferably to relatives, but not necessarily. If we're all working on this together, YOU may have more time and info than I have.

John McClanahan
I was wanting to update the information on Pvt John D. McClanahan that is buried in the Perryville cemetery. If you go to the Perryville Battlefield website you can click on a link to find the casualties of the battle. It has John listed as being killed on 10/8/1862. I am working on my family heritage and tracing my ancestors back to when they came to America. I was told that he is one of my distant relatives. If I am able to find the information on him, I will give you the birth date and any other information that may be available.

Do you happen to know if the Mary Austin Mosher listed on this memorial had a sister named Phebe Austin? If memory serves me correctly, one of my ancestors, Robert Lindley Knowles, was married to a Phebe Austin...any clues you might have would be appreciated!

Thanks for transferring that record to Tim and Grace. Tim is helping me link my family together. You couldn't have transferred it to a better person!

Hi. I have been trying to find a Donald Pendygraft for several years. His mother married ?? Pendygraft from Marion County, Ky. They had 2 sons (Larry b. 1946 and Donald b. 1948). She left her husband, taking the oldest with her and leaving the youngest with his father and/or grandparents. She was my sister-in-law but none of us knew about the son Donald until the late 1960's and have been searching for him ever since. We found out from his brother Larry who came from California searching for him as soon as his mother told him about his brother. Since retirement a few months ago, I have been searching, Findagrave, etc. A blank. Since you are doing so much in that area, have you by any chance, run across a Donald Pendygraft. Or he may not be alive now. He might enjoy knowing that he was not ignored by the rest of the Smith family - we just did not know he existed. By the way, David Gambrel is my neighbor and friend.

Thank You Very Much
The transfers are greatly appreciated, I don't remember getting so many from one person before, but he shows you care about relatives caring for each other instead of numbers.
Thanks again

You have this memorial entered into City "of" Bickford Cemetery, Somerset county, Smithfield,Maine.
Could you make a correction to the title of this cemetery, delete this cemetery (there is a Bickford Cemetery created") and add to the Bickford cemetery or make your correction and merge the 2 cemeteries together thru FindAGrave. I have a photo of the gravestone to add to this memorial. I am currently adding more names to the Bickford cemetery. Any questions, let me know. Thanks for all you do!
