As a lifetime history buff, and having lived near some old cemeteries, it is only "natural" that the two are now combined.
I've catalogued all the Confederate fallen in the Spotsylvania Confederate Cemetery in Spotsylvania Courthouse, Va. I will soon publish a roster/book with these findings and short bios/service records of these men. A copy will be presented to the Spotsylvania Courthouse Museum.
Also, I'm in the process of doing the same for the Confederate fallen and veterans in the Fredericksburg Confederate and City cemeteries.

As Historian of the above cemeteries, please feel free to inquire of any Confederate burials.
Also, I give tours of each.

The Fredericksburg and Spotsylvania County Battlefields National Park Service refers Confederate burial inquiries to me.

William Scott
Thank you
Thank you for posting the photo of the headstone of my great great uncle. I hope to visit the gravesite this year.

My great grandfather, Henry Reid Scott, was born during the civil war. He should be added to the siblings. He is buried at the Union Chapel UMC cemetery. http://hrcga.org/union-chapel-umc-putnam-county-2/ I assume his birth and death are on his tombstone. I live in OR now and can't get that info for you. I don't know if you could find it on the findagrave web site.

I appreciate all that you have done!!!! I never knew where Nicholas was buried. All I knew growing up was that he died as a teenager in the war.

RE: Pvt William H Brewer DOB/POB
I understand. The exact DOB comes from family records. William is the brother of my 3rd great-grandfather on one side of the family, and the nephew of my 3rd great-grandmother on another side. The exact date comes from family records, but census data backs up the POB and the approximate year. I also submitted to link his spouse. Her identity is backed up by census records and pension applications filed by her concerning William's death at Fredericksburg. Please let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks!

Hi Big French! I don't know if I ever thanked you a million for all you've done for these confederate soldiers on findagrave. When I found my great-great uncle on here a year or two ago I was so excited! Sadly, John had 2 brothers who also died in the war, and another who fought. His sister was my 2nd great grandmother, Mary Louisa "Polly" Marshborn Wilder, memorial# 33711829. Check out a picture I posted of Polly's husband, Burtie Wilder, in full confederate gear, memorial# 33711609. I've done thousands of hours of work on findagrave and ancestry.com, but never could find the grave location of their parents George and Louisa Marshborn, so I finally, after much agonizing, decided to create a virtual, unknown burial location so that I can link all these family members together. Check out the oldest brother, Samuel, memorial# 23244312. He was a Captain, he fought in battle after battle for 4 years, with many injuries, sicknesses, hospitalizations, but kept going back in. He finally died in 1865, the last of the 3 brothers that died. He was even in a hospital in Atlanta for several weeks in 1863, his wife came to visit, and 9 months later another daughter was born. Anyway, I thought you may appreciate my story, I really appreciate you! Hope to meet you one day when I come home to visit! Would LOVE a tour! Sincerely, Kathryn

Linda Boling
Westwood Boling
Westwood Boling's parents were John Boling and Martha of Randolph County, NC. He is listed in 1850 and 1860 Census for Randolph County and held land in Randolph County. You have him attachd to the wrong Boling famiy. His father's DOB was 1785. I hope you find this helpful.
