RE: Ghost Hill Cemetery
Hi, Daniel, I've seen your posts on "Wyoming and Bradford County...back in the day" on Facebook. I'm sure that you know that researching and photographing these headstones as well as doing what we can to improve the Ghost Hill Cemetery has been a labor of love. I'm also doing local Civil War Veterans' research for our local Historical Society and will be including the Sloat family and some of what I've found in their newsletter, "Lest We Forget". It certainly has been a pleasure, we never want to let these individuals and their stories fall by the wayside.

I added and transferred Katie, James and Edward to you. The info I added to their memorial is what was written on their burial cards in Pittston Cemetery at the time of the burial.

Reese Children

I found Katie, James and Edward. All three are buried in Pittston City Cemetery. They are all in Single Graves, so locating them would be hard if they aren't marked. I don't know why they weren't buried in one plot. Just doesn't make any sense to me. Hope this helps!

RE: Reese Graves

I absolutely love doing the research and if I helped you in your research that makes me happy. If you ever need any other help feel free to drip me a line. Most of my family is from NE PA and I know where to find most records.

Good luck in your search!

RE: Abram Reese

Thomas Reese is buried in West Pittston cemetery along with wife Mary. I found both of their obituaries. I found Sanfords Veteran burial card and it says he is buried in West Pittston Cemetery. Jessie Reese-Carpenter is buried in West Pittston Cemetery according to her death certificate. Minnie Reese-Smith is buried on Pittston City Cemetery. Minnie actually died at while visiting her parents grave site with her brother Sanford. Jennie Reese-Swackhammer is buried in Tioga Point Cemetery with husband Elmer.I check the burial records for Abraham and the age for him is 4 yrs 7 months.

I hope this information is helpful.

RE: Abram Reese

What was Abram's fathers name? I will see if I can locate the burial card and see who owned the plot and the relationship to the plot owner.

Take care,
