I was born and raised in the great state of TEXAS! and I am so happy to be home. I am currently living in San Antonio. I have been doing family research for my family as well as my husbands for about 7 years. Nothing thrills me more that when I have found some snippet of info I have been looking for forever, than when I can help someone else find one they have been looking for. I love to have people email me and find out we are related in some way. This is the best site for family researchers and for getting snippets of long lost info! I am a housewife and have lots of time to devote, and I am ecstatic to help anybody I can find what they need.|
I would like to respond to a message left for me by DON user # 47041347 who chose to blast me on a public forum and leave absolutely no way to contact him for a response. After accusing me of having "been rude" by fulfilling a photo request he had claimed, I would like to respond publicly by saying that I would never steal a request someone else had claimed. I filled this request by accident because I am cataloging and transcribing and taking photos of the entire cemetery (1,000+ graves) and just put this photo in because it was in the cemetery not knowing that it was a request. I would also like to state how RUDE and IMMATURE it is of you to blast me without giving me any chance to contact you to respond and tell my side. Nice dude. This whole interaction has saddened me, it has taken me 9 months on findagrave before finally having found a jerk. I love this site because I thought we were all on it to try and help each other, not to be territorial and mean spirited over a simple misunderstanding. Not cool.

Amanda, you are quite welcome for the grave photo. I'm glad that I could fulfill your request for you. You can use the photo for your ancestral work if you like. Thanks for asking first. Best regards, ~ Kurt Lau

You are welcome. I wish it was a better photo, but his marker is really worn.

Amanda, When I checked Sarah's memorial it is no longer linked to the wrong father. I will send an auto edit to please link her to her mother.
|CWDavis||thank you again|
Nothing is permanent ... except God's love.

Amanda, Thank you so much for the beautiful memorials you created for Wesley and Estella Dalton. They are the great-great-grandparents of my friend, John W Taylor. By carefully recording the names, dates, and epitaphs, you are insuring against our losing the information as the stones weather. We know that nothing is really permanent, but you are helping us remember, for now. Thank you! - Carolyn Davis

I see the grave photo is from you but no final date. Has the final date ever been added?
Are you related to J.W. (John William) Tompkins who is buried in Kyle Cemetery in Kyle, Texas? I am asking because I am related to him. Thank you Amanda.

Greetings - Calvary Cemetery isn't very cooperative in looking up grave locations to Find-A-Grave photography volunteers - they'll only do 3 at a time and recently cut me off from asking for any more locations. I was trying to add locations for the very large backlog of photo reqs for the cemetery; there's over 400 requests. Those that include the grave plot get photographed first, so I'd recommend that you add that info to the Find-A-Grave memorial page. Call 216-641-7575 for the cemetery office; they'll provide you 3 locations without charging you for them.

I'd greatly appreciate it if you would update Find A Grave Memorial# 32170479. Although not indicated on her headstone at the time the photo was taken, her date of death is October 10, 2013. Her obituary can be viewed at: http://harrellfuneralhomes.com/services.asp?locid=1&page=sdetail&id=28434. Her maiden name is Shepard, and she was born in Alabama to Troy Shepard and Annie Mae Greene Shepard. Thank you so very much, Sheila Lackey :).
