His Children were: Herbert Wesley Surlet 1918-1980
Ada Belle Surlet King 1919-2012
Alpha Cleo "Pete" Surlet Hutson 1921-2010

Dora Belle's death certificate shows her burial in Kenyon Cemetery and I have a photo of her family beside her fresh grave, on a hillside out in the country. Fairmount does not show if or when she may have been exhumed and brought there. I would love to know when if and when she was moved and appreciate any help you could give me solving this "mystery"!
|Ruth Smith||4 memorial pages at Fairmount|
Hello John Hinkle: It has been a long time since we have communicated. I tried to send you an e-mail at the address above but it came back. I am asking that your transfer 4 of your memorial pages to me because they are all men who fought in the Civil War in the "Colored Troops" and all lived here in Cape Girardeau. Denise Lincoln has been working on a book she is writing about 13 men who fought for the Union Army during this war and she is planning to have an event for them in early October. Mr. Crites at the city cemetery office has really helped getting ready for this and several of us will be there on a Sunday afternoon to tell about each of these people. They wanted me to fill in their biography (as researched by Denise) on their find-a-grave page. i could send you the paragraphs and ask you to do it, but it would be easier for you if they were transferred to me.
Here are their names: John Snyder,#18384210; George Hampton #18125293; John GAle #18112696; and Tony McGee #18295362 Thank you so much. My find-a-grave number is: 47139781
|Shelly Kirk Knipple||Take over management of grave|
I would like to manage the memorial for Tina Sanders #7378511. She is my great aunt. I have not seen any of the updates I have sent you and would like to take care of them myself.
|Farmgirl||Pauline Andrews Breeden|
We are researching family information and discovered my husband's father's brother on find a grave. He is Lewis Wertman Breeden and Pauline is his wife. Can you tell us how you discovered her maiden name Andrews?

Could you verify if this is a duplicate of the same grave for headstone # 18754, My records show a Harry R Duschell born in Oklahoma in 1916.
|Terry Davis||Thelma Mae Gohn Davis|
John, my aunt Thelma Mae Gohn Davis (Jun 22, 1907 - Apr 17, 1995) and husband Amos Davis are buried at Cape Girardeau. There appears to be an entry for Thelma Mae Tidwell Davis, which I think is for my aunt, but her maiden name was Gohn. Since the dates match, I'm assuming the maiden name and the relationships attached are incorrect. Please let me know if I need to create one for my aunt.
|Denise Schrader||Charles & Mattie Rauh|
I am interested in taking over the Find A Grave memorial for Charles & Mattie Rauh who are buried in Fairmount Cemetery in Cape Girardeau. They are my GGrandparents. Their Daughter Genevieve (Mabel) is my Grandmother. Thank you. Denise Finn Schrader
WOULD YOU PLEASE CONNECT WM WITH HIS WIFE MOLLIE. HER MEMORIAL IS 7637703. Wm memorial is 7637696.
you have both memorials at New Lorimer Cemetery.

|Sally Logue||death date|
Looking at your listing for Amanda B Schrader on findagrave it is 1911 for a death year but the photo of the stone shows Jan 23 1941
|S-P Allison||Emmet A. Summers|
On your gravesite for Emmet A. Summers: You have his birth year as 1864, and that is what is on his tombstone. He was, however, born on 12 May 1868. That is the date given on a social security record. The 1900 census states May 1868. Other census records list his birth as 1868. I have a hunch someone made an error on the stone. You can change it if you want to.
