Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Alex Reed. I was born in Lafayette, Indiana in 1990, the eldest of two sons born to James Reed and Melissa Allen. I have a younger brother, Zach. My paternal family surnames are Reed, Hicks, Johnson, Hall, Collins, Lister, Price, Thain and Dolvaun. My maternal family surnames are Allen, Elam, Arndt, Cain, Stackhouse, Leazenby, Rider, Ritter, Egolf, Keiser, Diffendafer, Lock and Pippenger. Most of my parents' families are from the state of Indiana, with roots in Kentucky, Minnesota, North Dakota and Texas. I am of English, German, French, Polish, Dutch, Irish, Scottish and Cherokee descent.

I like to use my free time and go to random memorials and correct/add information and link the person to other passed relatives. My sources of information are from death certificates, social security death indexes, marriage licenses, the person's own headstone, and sometimes the decedent's relative(s). I put in a lot of hard work and countless hours doing this, so be courteous and ask if you have a concern about an edit(s) I suggested. Please use the public messaging system to ask me a question or to leave any concern, not a memorial's "suggestion" option.

People seem to forget that every site, no matter what the subject is, has guidelines/rules that are enforced for a reason. Check the FAQS if you have any questions. Here are a few that are important to remember:

- "Burial unknown" memorials are frowned upon. If you do not know where the person is buried or if they were cremated, refrain from making a memorial until you know their final disposition. DO NOT add a bunch of "burial unknown" memorials or any "false disposition" memorials just to have a high number of created memorials, as this behavior is silly, wasteful and will be reported.
- Be sure to search for a person or persons before making memorials, as they might already have a memorial and a duplicate is not necessary (unless one memorial is a cenotaph and the other is the final burial disposition, in which this is acceptable).
- DO NOT steal other people's work. This includes photos and biographical information. Plagiarism is unacceptable and will be reported.
- DO NOT add inflammatory/accusatory text to a memorial's bio, a virtual flower or via public message. This is deemed childish and will be reported.
- DO NOT add postmortem photos of a decedent. Such photos will be reported and removed.
- DO NOT use photos from other sites, unless you have permission from the owner, as some photos are copyrighted and will be taken down.
- Add all information listed on one's headstone and/or birth/death certificates into the appropriate fields/drop-down menus in the memorial form. The opinion of a relative or friend does not influence this.
- Text from obituaries are allowed to be posted in a memorial's bio, but DO NOT add any information about living persons. If you list survivors, be sure to name their relation to the decedent instead of posting their names, if you wish.
- DO NOT add phone numbers, email addresses, social security numbers, health records or any other personal information to a memorial, as this is considered an invasion of privacy and will be removed.

DO NOT process/decline an edit until you have asked me first about its source. Also, DO NOT process/decline an edit(s) and then delete the memorial(s) for no reason. This behavior is considered suspicious, disturbing and destructive, and will be promptly reported to Find A Grave administrators. DO NOT add any low quality and/or uncropped photos to any of my memorials, as it makes it appear tacky. Any abusive behavior towards me, my created memorials and/or any of the work I put into this site will also be reported and dealt with accordingly. I am very fair to others and try my hardest to work with people on issues, so please be respectful, courteous and work with me and/or others on a problem(s). If you cannot, and/or are deliberately causing problems, then please refrain from using this site.

If you have any information to suggest to any of the memorials I've created, please click "EDIT" to the memorial it pertains to. Also, if I happen to have a duplicate memorial, please alert me of it, as I do search for persons before making a memorial for them, but sometimes a name is misspelled on a prior memorial and I am not aware of it. I will not transfer ownership of a memorial(s) unless I have definitive proof that you are related to said person(s) or are a friend of theirs.

NOTE: If you have any issue(s) with the content of my memorials, please bring it to MY attention first and it will be dealt with accordingly. Thank you.

Harriett Apple

Harriett G. Fulkerson's Kentucky birth record lists Hardin County, Kentucky as her place of birth - which means that she was not born in Paducah as her obituary states. Also, Harriett Geneva Apple's Texas death record lists Rockwall County, Texas as her place of death - which means that she did not die in Laguna Park, even though she was living there.

Paulena Kain Netzel
Paulena is my great grandmother. She died 19 Sept 1925 and was buried 22 Sept 1925 in the Medaryville Town Cemetery, Medaryville, Ind, Pulaski County.
I see that the surnames Arndt and cain(Kain) are in your family line. One of Paulena:s daughters married Louis Arndt son of Ludwig Arndt and I believe a one of his daughters married a Stackhouse.

RE: Mary Lou Collins Smith-McCleese
I am researching the Riegel line (my mothers side of the family) Mary Lou Collins married Wendell Leon Smith, the son of Lester Don Smith, the son of Charles Smith, the son of Joseph Malcolm Smith and Elizabeth Riegel, the daughter of Solomon Rirgel.

Common ancestor Matthais Riegel.
I hope this is not confusing or if you are interested in more information on the Riegel line
let me know.

RE: Find A Grave Memorial# 41445286
I am having a hard time getting Find A Grave to work, took me hours to send a reply. I will attempt to take to request off of Thelma. Are we talking about Howard Grossman's wife. This is my wife's family and I am not so good at it. The new info probably came from the death record. Dan

Joseph Pippenger
Thanks for the tip regarding the burial place of Joseph Pippenger (memorial #139670053) in Elkhart Co.. I have changed to the specified cemetery and requested a photo of the marker, assuming that one exists. Are you in a position to take a photo?
