Thank you so much for the connection. I've asked Findagrave to merge these memorials.

Happy to help - not sure if this will mean anything to your project, but for what it's worth. I work this cemetery quite a bit and would be happy to grab a photo, if appropriate, even tho it's not his final resting place. Gordon

You're welcome. I found Jesse Garland, Jr. and thought I had the right one, but when I saw the date, I kept looking.
Glad I could help.

Jack told me that you had entered Billy's memorial. I viewed it immediately. It is very nice and I was pleasantly surprised to find Rev. Puff as one of your memorials. I knew him well as he and the church rented the building that my husband used for his tool and die business in the late 60's and early 70's. Also I knew him at Miami Valley Hospital when I was employed there and he was a board member. He also conducted each of my parents funerals, as well as Jack's wedding. I loved viewing your memorials, especially the ones concerning the Civil War people. Thanks again for letting me know about Billy's memorial. Marilyn

You're more than welcome, I'm glad to have helped your project a little.
I worked at the Michigan State University Library for 24 years. I retired 4 years ago to come to Charlotte when my daughter got pregnant. I take care of her (now) 3 children. I had much more time for genealogy projects when I had a full-time job! But I'm slowly getting my genealogy field trip photos posted.

You're welcome, happy to help. According to a past cemetery census the notation next to his name says "PVT-Co E-13th Cav-Civil War". It also goes on to say that all information given was verified through death certificates or military records. http://tngenweb.org/washington/cemetery/cemUnionCofC.htm
Hope that helps.
Have a great day!

You requested a photo of William Greene. On the interments page there are 2 listed, William C. Greene unknown - unknown, and William R. Greene 1907-1988 husband of M. Maude Greene. The only stone I located was William C. Greene Aug. 14, 1873 - Dec. 26, 1943. I have a photo of it but I'm hesitant to add it to the William C. (unknown - unknown) because for obvious reasons I can't be 100% positive that it's the correct person (99.9.... but still hesitant). :-)I'd be happy to email it to you if this is what you were looking for.
